VERY cute 1000 square foot home built in 2005! Leave the front door and you are on one of the nicest beaches in Baja. Ahh, your own private paradise... The beach is white sand and the surf is normally non-existent (except in winter). Makes for great swimming in water from 71 to 94 degrees. Walk on the beach at sunrise, then come home and cook a big breakfast in your large, pleasant, tiled kitchen.

Then swim, snorkel, kayak, lie around on the beach for a while... Sounds like it's just about time to enjoy an ice cold beverage at your own little palapa bar complete w/chairs and attached mosaic tiled table. Time for a siesta? Turn on the three ceiling fans, and those blue padded chaise lounges look awfully tempting under the palapa over the deck. Don't forget that good book...

Feeling kind of hot, are you? Don't feel like going in the saltwater again? Just step over to the outdoor shower, cool off, then lie right back down. Suddenly, all this outdoor living making you HUNGRY?...And isn't it about COCKTAIL TIME? Fire up the blender, then fire up the barbie and grill some of that fresh tuna you just caught.

Maybe sushi or ceviche would be good, instead. And a great big salad. Yummm. And would you just look at all those stars! I feel a moonlight walk on the beach coming on... Now you're VERY tired, aren't you? Lucky you have such comfortable beds to sleep on. Then guess what? You have to get up and DO IT AGAIN!!! I know it's rough, but somebody's gotta do it...It may as well be YOU! Hurry up and get down here!

We are located about an hour's drive north of the airport at San Jose del Cabo (SJD), at kilometer 103 1/2 on Mex Hwy 1. We are about 6 miles south of Los Barriles, which includes 2 miles of unpaved roads from Mex Hwy 1 to the property. On the beach, we are between Rancho Buena Vista and Rancho Leonero. The main grocery stores (Chapitos and Tienda Popular) and most restaurants are located in Los Barriles.

Not much is in walking distance from here. Renting a car at the airport is the way to go. Most of the major rental agencies have offices there. On Mex 1, south of the airport in San Jose del Cabo, there are 2 new, giant grocery stores, Soriana and Mega. Costco and the similar City Club, Walmart and Sam's Club are in Cabo San Lucas, about half an hour south of the airport, also located on Mex 1.

We will definitely be back!

Casa Paloma had everything we needed - peaceful oceanfront living, comfy beds, nice showers & fully functioning kitchen, all beautifully decorated. Steps from the sea, we enjoyed snorkeling at the point and stunning sunrise strolls. Nearby Los Barriles has great shops & dining. We also cooked a lot at home & found everything we needed in town. Wi-Fi was the only thing lacking, but we were able to connect next door at the owners. Paula & DC are very gracious hosts with whom we will keep in touch! We had amazing day trips to Cabo Pulmo & Los Frailes, La Paz, Pichilingue & Balandra, and nearby Santiago & Canon de la Zorra - all incredible! It was very hard to leave this little slice of heaven.

A truly amazing holiday. Words cannot describe how beautiful Casa Paloma is. The pictures on the web site do not do it any justice. Absolutely everything exceeded our expectations. The only thing more wonderful than Los Barriles are DC and Paula. Two incredible people. Counting the days til we are there again.

I know it was a great vacation when I am tearful to leave. This one was perfect. 4 of us spent 7 nights. We have found new friends in Paula and DC and booked the next yr before we left. It was a perfect place for 2 couples, seperate king bed suites, an amazingly stocked Casa. All you need is food and your swimming suit. Beautifully quiet. This is not the place if you want bars/ disco's and noise, but IT IS the place if you want a beautiful sea, walk the beach looking for sea glass, relax, relax , relax, and make good friends in the meantime. One of the best vacations ever!

My family was one of the first to stay with DC and Paula at this great piece of paradise 2 years ago. I am pleased to tell you that we just got back 7/27/07 from another outstanding trip with them. I have stayed in this area for over 25 years and have never met anyone who is as helpful, willing and ready to make your vacation a success as these 2 people. They will go beyond your expectations to ensure that you have everything that you need. You will indeed be made to feel like family and hate to leave this place. The house is very clean and you will have everything that you need including kayaks, snorkle gear, float devices, beach towels, washer and dryer, AIR conditioning, fully furnished with a pretty good stocked fridge and safe water. As always I go for the fishing and the family goes for the sun and this is one of the best places in Baja to have both. I played in Cabo for a lot of years and was very happy to discover this area about 12 years ago. Think Cabo 20 years ago only better. Not much night life but a couple of good places to eat and it is only an hour away if that if that is what you're looking for. Thanks again DC and Paula, we will see you again soon.

The beauty of Casa Paloma,Is not defined by it’s warm clear blue waters, white sandy beaches, or even the spectacular sunrises and sunsets, but rather by the memories of them. Many things in life can only be understood by experiencing them, and the tranquility of Casa Paloma is one of those things. Think of it as a vacation rental if you will, but consider it a privilege, and don’t forget to raise a toast to the first mate and render a salute to the captain on your way out.May 2007Bob & Linda KirchgeslerFort Collins, CO

We recently spent two wonderful nights at Casa Paloma with our friends. Paula and the "Captain" were gracious hosts and our casa was absolutely perfect. Waking up with the beautiful (close) view of the ocean couldn't have been better. And Paula has created a well-stocked kitchen. We will be back for a longer visit next time.

We spent our honeymoon at the hacienda in January of 2006. We absolutely loved the town, the house, Duane and Paula. Our first trip to Mexico was wonderfully comfortable and Duane and Paula made sure that we had all of the information and amenities we needed. We look forward to a return visit. Take the opportunity to stay here!!

We spent 7 incredible days here fishing the beaches and plan to do it again soon. You couldn't find friendlier or more hospitable hosts than DC & Paula, and we've stayed at a number of places in the area over the years. This place really stands out with all the necessities and LOTS of extras, all for a great price. Thanks again DC & Paula!

Shared this beautiful home on the beach with another couple for 4 days after first spending a week at our timeshare in Cabo. It was so peaceful and relaxing that it seemed twice as long as the week at our timeshare. Paula, sorry you were away at the time we would have loved to meet you but rest assured DC made us feel like old friends. As soon as we can plan for our stay next year you will be hearing from us. Bob & Linda P.S. To readers of this post - If you vacation here don't offer to buy the place because I want it.
