Located on what is described as one of the top ten beaches in the US, Lover's Key Beach Club, lies between the glistening waters of the Gulf of Mexico and Estero Bay. Lover's Key is an idyllic paradise with serenity, privacy, romance and adventure. It is a nature lover's dream, where you can enjoy the dolphins and manatees swimming by, the sea turtles and the exotic nesting birds from osprey to white herons.
The condo is located directly on a private white sugar sand beach with a backdrop of swaying palms, tropical flowers and majestic water fountains. The private beach in front of the condo has plenty of loungers and tahiti huts offering shade from the beautiful Florida sunshine.
Relax on the huge private balcony overlooking the pool and ocean and watch the sailboats pass by and amaze at the ever present frolicking dolphins.
The condo is completely remodeled this December 2011 with brand new kitchen,new furniture, new appliances, giant flat screen TV on the living room wall, new whisper quiet A/C units.... and fully repainted. The bedroom features a queen size bed and the living room has a pull out sofa bed.
The private beach connects directly to the Lover's Key State Park where you can explore the magnificence of the estuary by kayak or by walking the many nature trails and miles of gulf -front beach. There are innumerable wild-life and bird watching opportunities here and of course the fabulous shelling on the beach. There is a boat launch, kayak rentals and the park has a new million dollar picnic area, park and playground for kids.
The large heated swimming pool and hot tub are great, with both overlooking the bay. You can grill your catch of the day on the high quality Weber gas BBQ's and enjoy your meal right there at the 'dolphin deck'. If you want a change from the serenity then jet skis, power boats and pontoon boats are available nearby for rent so you can thrill to the dolphins racing along side you or to get a better glimpse of the sea turtles, sting rays ...in their natural habitat.
There is a trolley that runs up and down Fort Myers Beach and to the Shopping Mall (including a supermarket and K-Mar) in Bonita Springs. The trolley stops right outside the property---hop on for 25 cents and enjoy the hustle and bustle of Times Square in North Fort Myers Beach with its many shops and restaurants. If you are in the mood for a round of golf or a game of tennis ---these are all located jut minutes away. You actually don't need a car at Lover's Key---all is so easily accessible without one.
You and your family will love it here. It is truly a very special place.
PS. all doors within the apartment are super wide for wheelchair accessibility and the bathroom is totally wheelchair accessible. The unit was designed as one of the mandatory wheel chair suites in the days when the condo was a luxury hotel.

I spent my last summer holiday together with my 17 years old son in Lovers Key and it was perfectly wonderdful. We both enjoyed our stay in the appartment. The furniture is exellent and new, fully equipped kitchen, aircondition in the bed room and living room,large bathroom, two tvs, large balcony with a view overlooking the pool, the whirlpool and the sea. We'd loved to have breakfast outside watching the pelican each morning. On the ground floor there is also a space with washing machines and dryers, a ping pong table and barbeque grillers which could be used. Therefore that the location is directy on the beach (natural reserve) it will invites you for endless beach walks. Don't forget water bottels. We always were away for round 2 hours! I highly recommend this location to all who seek peace and nature lovers. For all of you who don't want to drive a car for dinner I can recommend a small beach bar only 5 minutes by feet away from the appartment. It's called Flipper's. We loved the live music and the meal also the view at the sea, the sunrise the whole atmosphere and the very friedly and helpful staff. If you want to cook by yourself there are plenty of supermarkets nearby to reach by car but we were to lazy. At the end I will say that we decide to come again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, families with young children, age 55+.

This is an excellent place to stay. It's on the second floor so you're just high enough for a great view of the bay. This particular condo has a large balcony overlooking the water and a large pool and hottub. It was very clean and well kept with an updated kitchen and a large flatscreen high definition 3D TV. Although, with the private beach and large swimming pool, you wouldn't want to spend too much time inside. If you are into barbecuing, there are 4 large Webers on site for use by any of the renters or owners. You can walk from the private beach, under the bridge and you would find yourself on the Lover's Key State Park beach which goes on for miles along the Gulf of Mexico. If you like fishing this seems to be the place to go. There is a restaurant called Flippers right here beside the condo which is on the water. If you want a little more excitement, there is a trolley stop right out front which will take you into Times Square in Fort Myers Beach where you have lots of other restaurants and shops to choose from. The Pier is an interesting attraction as well. If you want a great place to go for Happy Hour, the Fish House has $1.25 drafts from 3 pm to 6 pm every day and it's only 3 km away- a walkable distance or a few minutes on the trolley. By the way, a trolley ride costs you a quarter if you are a senior. We had our car with us so grocery shopping wasn't more than a 10 minute car ride to the nearest Publix. Also by car, the Miromar Outlet Mall is only about 20 minutes from here or you can go to Coconut Pointe which is about the same distance. The owner here has been terrific to deal with. I would certainly recommend this spot to my friends and relatives and anyone else who wants to enjoy the Florida sunshine.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+.

We loved staying at this place. It was wonderful to walk out onto a beautiful private beach straight from the front door of the condo and then be able to walk for miles along very scenic deserted white sand beaches. The private beach with its tahiti huts made you feel like being on a resort island. As a woman I loved the beautiful modern upscale kitchen. Nothing ala cheap here. In general, the whole unit was in pristine condition. From the large balcony we all enjoyed watching the dolphins swimming by in the bay or watching them from the patio of the on site restaurant "Flippers". Coincidentally this was an excellent place to have either breakfast, lunch or dinner. People who don't even live in the condo came by to eat. The food was excellent and ever so reasonably priced. We ended up having breakfast there every day. My husband and I were often relegated to the small bedroom TV, as it was hard to pry our 12-year old away from the big 3D TV in the living room when he was in the middle of one of the free movies provided by the owner's pay service there. I wish our wireless internet service at home worked half as fast as the one in this apartment. All in all, I could not find a single thing to gripe about at this place and we are looking forward to another week there this winter.Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, families with teenagers, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This place was truly a bit of paradise! The amenities were perfect -- exactly as shown in the pictures. Everything was brand new. This is a well maintained building with friendly tenants. Can't wait to go back!Recommended for: People with disabilities, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+.
