  Our family of four stayed in this cosy apartment over Christmas. We enjoyed being within an easy walk of everything and I was able to cook a full Christmas dinner in the kitchen. Elevator was never too busy for us ( I think it is new). Apartment was warm, quiet, clean, spacious and bright. Lots of storage space in master bedroom.

  Four of us (2 adult couples) stayed in this apartment for four nights in May, and we couldn't have been happier with the accommodations. To begin with, the apartment is huge- bigger than it appears in the pictures. There are two separate bedrooms, one very large, the other on the small side, both with full beds. The living/dining room is big and comfortable, with plenty of seating. There is an internet plug-in (including cable), and a small desk. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a large fridge with freezer. There's a washer, but no dryer, although there is a drying rack, and lots of space to hang stuff up. The apartment is on the 5th floor, and the elevator is small and busy, so we always walked down, and often up. The owner's mother lives in the same building, and she was absolutely wonderful- she showed us the apartment, then took us to the nearby grocery store to stock up, including pointing out the best deals. The location is perfect- right at the top of Kartnerstrasse, next door to the opera and close to nearly everything you'd want to see in Vienna. And there's a metro station within 50 metres for anything else. We parked the rental car in a garage next door for the whole time we were there (16 euro/day; NOT at the Opera though- that's 40 euro/day!). The only potential negative is that the apartment faces a busy street, and there is no air conditioning. We heard some traffic noise, but it was not enough to be a bother. A family of 4 could easily settle in here as a base from which to explore the beautiful city of Vienna. Highly recommended!

  Firstly, the location of this apartment is unique and you have everything at your doorstep. As soon as we arrived, and saw the Kaertner Strasse and the Hotel Sacher from the window, we dropped our bags and went exploring to get our bearings. Vienna is a beautiful old city and although the apartment is in a building which is probably from the 50's the surrounding buildings are from the 1800's - so you really are in the heart of the city. We crossed the street to the Opera and walked around. There's the whole cross section of public transportation on the doorstep - metro station, tram stops, several bus stop and taxi stands. We window shopped down the Kaerntner Strasse to the the Stephan's Dome...beautiful, down the Graben to the Hofburg...amazing. On the way back we stopped off at the famous Fiegelmuller for a schnitzel (delicious). So, within the first couple hours we already felt connected to the city. Back at the apartment we settled in and made ourselves comfortable - hung up some clothes - (plenty of space). Had a shower (slightly old fashioned bathroom, but charming). In short - I'd say this is one of the nicer city apartments we've stayed in. 2 bedrooms well appointed, a nice kitchen and a very nice cozy lounge. The perfect place to stay for a city escape. We'll be coming back!

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.

  I would thoroughly recommend this apartment. It is very centrally situated and particularly suited my elderly parents' needs as all the attractions of Vienna were within easy walking distance or easy reach of public transport. The apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean and well equipped. The photo gallery and description on the website accurately represent this apartment. I would not hesitate to rent it again.

  Recommended for: People with disabilities, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+.
