Our Condo is 3 stories high. The ground floor is a garage for the golf cart, charcoal grill and beach chairs & umbrella and has a storage closet for your use. The second floor (main living area) is comprised of the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, bathroom and screened in porch. The Living Room is equipped with a 52' LED HD Television which has a DVR Dish Network Satellite along with a DVD player & DVD's. The kitchen is complete with microwave, dish washer, coffee maker, blender, and of course everything needed for cooking & serving except your food. The master bedroom has a king sized bed and a 42' LED HD Television. The screen in porch has a round table and 4 chairs along with a full-sized washer & dryer, Iron & Ironing board located behind folding doors. The second floor is a loft which as 2 queen sized beds, television, and it's own bath.

Kim and Brad are gracious hosts, their property is top notch....This is really a graet place to stay and unwind from the daily grind. If you are ever in Little Gasparilla this is the place to stay and relax. We had everything we wanted including very freindly vacationers and residents. All were happy and having fun. My kids (5 and 11) loved driving the golf cart, kyaking with the dolphins, fishing, swimming in the ocean, flying the kite, building sand castles and collecting shells and sharks teeth. We loved the quiet and not populated beach, the natural environment and nature, and a very comfortable condo, clean condo with owners who checked in to make sure all was well. The ferry was on time and getting our things to the island was a breeze due to the system the complex has in place. We came home totally relaxed and happy. Endless sunshine, sensational sunsets, heavenly sand & stunning shells! Our stay and Brad and Kim's wonderfully appointed condo was everything we needed for a relaxing and peaceful vacation. The unit was well equipped, furnished and clean. Use of the golf cart was a bonus to get around the island with ease. Hideaway Bay's pool is the perfect spot to gather for a refreshing swim and friendly conversations with new friends and welcoming staff. Captain Dennis is the go-to guy - master of all! Thanks for the memories. We were very lucky to be able to rent this condo for Easter Week, We already had family in the area,and our sons live near and so could spend a long weekend with us.Good friday was wonderful for more family guests. The listing was as accurate as ever,and as clean and very very well maintained.Rooms very comfortable,and had big tv's and WiFi,and DVD's. The owners had everything for us. The golf cart was a bonus ,and we toured the island every day, We had chairs, so many towels, and some condiments.We did bring too much food, and that was a laugh for all. We even cooked a turkey that Sunday and had enough pots and pans and dishes for a delicious dinner.. It is a lovely abode for a lovely vacation,and a good time was had by all., Thank you Mr and Mrs for answering all of our questions and concerns and ,we will definitely be in touch for next spring.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Tis was a great place to get away from the cold MN winters. The town home was exactly as described and the pictures really gave you a accurate idea of the home. They were only two of us, but it could easily accommodate a family of 5 or 6. The island location is great or a "laid back vacation of walking the beach, enjoying the sun and watching sunsets. Very quiet and not very crowded. Would recommend to friendsRecommended for: Age 55+, families with young children.

Kim was a great hostess and met us at the dock on the island, which was great because this was our first time to Hideaway Bay and we didn't know the ropes. We very much enjoyed the upgrades in the condo, and it was great to have a golf cart. Even though the weather wasn't what we had hoped, be enjoyed meeting many friendly people and quickly feeling at home. It was a nice surprise to find that there is a small nondenominational church on the island and enjoyed services each Sunday morning. The heated pool provided a refreshing break, and the informal library meant we could have done without the books we brought. This was a great vacation!Recommended for: Age 55+.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your comfortable condo on beautiful Little Gasparilla. It truly is a Little Piece of Paradise.... a beautiful beach that went on almost forever and felt almost like it was our private vacation spot. We had an interesting start to our week, with winds brisk enough that the ferry couldn't run, but our hosts were kind enough to provide us with private boat transportation over so that we didn't miss any of our precious time on the island. The condo was very comfortable and tastefully decorated. There is everything needed for cooking and eating at the condo, which we did every day. The only things we needed besides our food and drinks were paper goods and salt & pepper. Brad was kind enough to leave fishing rods for my husband to use, and the golf cart was a definite plus for getting around on! Kim was so helpful, answering any questions we had by email before we arrived, and even after we got there when we couldn't figure out the dish tv. :) We loved every minute of our stay, including the beautiful weather, the time spent on the screened-in porch looking out over the pond, the very friendly people we met on the ferry and on the beach, and everything about the condo. We can't wait to come back next year and spend a week relaxing and walking the beach finding shells and shark teeth! It truly is a little piece of Paradise!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

We had a great time on Little Gasparilla Island. The condo was nice and everyone we met was very nice. We spent every day on the beach which was beautiful and so relaxing. We loved the fact that there was no commercial conveniences on the island but had the option to take the ferry into town. We were there a week and only went in two times for very short visits because we did not want to leave the beauty of the island. We hope to go back and can stay longer.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Thanks for the note. We have absolutely loved every day of our stay at your lovely home. We found everything as described and very nice decorated. It was very close to the beach and dock and we ate dinner every night on the screened porch. We enjoyed the peaceful nature and the beach and were so happy to explore this beautiful island with provided golf cart. Also it was very convenient being able to use the ferry this time ( it is our second visit to this island, we stayed at different location the first time). Short Term Rental Agreement This Short Term Rental Agreement (the “Agreement”) is made by and between Brad & Kim Rutherford (“Homeowner”) and (“Guest”) as of the date last set forth on the signature page of this Agreement. For good and valuable consideration, the sufficiency of which is acknowledged, the parties hereby agree as follows: 1. Property: The property is located at: 9400 Little Gasparilla Island Unit #C-2 Placida, FL 33946 The property is furnished and includes golf cart, refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender, iron,52” HDTV, 42” HDV, 19” television, 2 DVD players, linens, towels, etc 2. No Pets are allowed 3. Maximum Occupancy: The maximum number of guests is limited to 6 persons. 4. Term of the Lease: The lease begins at 2:00 p.m. on (the “Check-in Date”) and ends at 10:00 a.m. on (the “Checkout Date”). 5. Minimum Stay: This property requires a 7 night minimum stay. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. 6. Rental Rules: Guest agrees to abide by the Rental Rules attached as Exhibit A at all times while at the property and shall cause all members of the rental party and anyone else Guest permits on the property to abide by the following rules at all times while at the property. 7. Access: Guest shall allow Homeowner access to the property for purposes of repair and inspection. Homeowner shall exercise this right of access in a reasonable manner.. 8. No smoking is allowed in condo 9. Rental Rate and Fees a. Deposit: A deposit of $250.00 is due 30 days prior to arrival. The deposit is for security and shall be refunded within 7 days of the Checkout Date provided no deductions are made due to: i. damage to the property or furnishings; ii. dirt or other mess requiring excessive cleaning; or iii. any other cost incurred by Homeowner due to Guest’s stay. If the premises appear dirty or damaged upon Check-in, Guest shall inform Homeowner immediately. b. Rental Rate. Payment of ½ rent, cleaning fee & tax is due at time of reservation. All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests are expressly assuming the risk of any harm arising from their use of the premises or others whom they invite to use the premise. 4. Keep the property and all furnishings in good order 5. Only use appliances for their intended uses. 6. Pets are NOT allowed. 7. PARKING : Vehicles are to be parked in fenced-in area across the street from the ferry dock only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. 8. Housekeeping: There is no daily housekeeping service. While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. 12. Storms: If there is a storm or hurricane, no refunds will be given unless: • The state or local authorities order mandatory evacuations in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning area" and/or • A "mandatory evacuation order has been given for the Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning" area of residence of a vacationing guest. • The day that the authorities order a mandatory evacuation order in a "Tropical Storm/Hurricane Warning," area, we will refund: -Any unused portion of rent from a guest currently registered; -Any unused portion of rent from a guest that is scheduled to arrive, and wants to shorten the stay, to come in after the Hurricane Warning is lifted; and -Any advance rents collected or deposited for a reservation that is scheduled to arrive during the "Hurricane Warning" period.

About the owner: My husband, Brad & I are true Florida Crackers, both born in Central Florida. We were High School Sweethearts, dating for 7 years, and now have been married for 35 years. We grew up in Bradenton, Fl and once married moved around Central Florida ending up in Winter Haven.
Why the Owner Chose Little Gasparilla Island:
Some good friends of ours invited my husband to stay with them at their HBBC Condo during a fishing weekend back in 1997. He instantly fell in love with the Island and came home and was excitedly insistent that I go the next weekend with him to see about buying a place for our own. It didn't take much convincing on his part...I was hooked the minute a saw it.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
My husband & I love the condo for different reasons. He is an avid fisherman.. and a legend in his own mind:) No, he really is a good fisherman... you know they say practice makes perfect...well he get's plenty of that...This area, along with being the Tarpon Capital of the World, is also beeming with Snook, Redfish, Snapper, Flounder, Permit, Grouper, just to name a few of my husband quest. What made me fall in love with the island was that it was a secluded island only assessable by boat. There a virtually no vehicles on the island except golf carts. This makes it safe for your kids to have fun and explore without you having to worry. You can go down to the beach at almost any time of year and almost have the whole beach to yourselves. This place makes you forget all the hustle & bustle of your every day life...it is a true oasis of relaxation.
