The house was clean and yard was well maintained. Has nice ocean view and open feeling. We enjoyed morning walk to botanical garden. It's only a mile away. They have zip line there, too. Beach park near by was like old Hawaii, very lush tropical landscaping. Umauma Hale had everything we needed and our stay was very comfortable. I will recommend it to couple or small group of people. Sure beat staying at hotel.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

This was our first time to Big Island. Hilo town is cute and lush. We drove all around the island but we were glad to stay in Hilo area instead of Kona. We had very relaxed vacation. The Umauma Hale made us feel welcomed and we just loved the tropical peaceful setting and watching the sunrise. Just breathtaking! Didn't want to go home.Did you find this review helpful?
