Sometimes you don't have to go very far to recharge. I have found my source to refuel and reconnect with the outdoors and my family. Our stay was perfect from the morning runs on the unpaved roads to the card games at night. This is a place that could be habit forming. I was reluctant at the mention of mobile home but this place has had so many upgrades including a nice open space living room for everyone to gather or tuck in for a good read that you forget it is a mobile home. We lived on the back porch which looks out onto endless woods and no neighbors anywhere. Lots of great books to help identify all the birds we saw and blooming wild flowers. I hated to leave. Next time I will bring the bikes for the kids to ride on botany bay out to the beach and fishing rods too. We returned to town in an hour but it felt like we had been away for two weeks. Nice.Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, families with young children.

Perfect spot for a real rest and retreat from the reality that is your life! Just a few minutes drive to beautiful unspoiled Edisto Beach yet tucked away on the island next to the national treasure that is Botany Bay Plantation. Furnishings are fun and tasteful and beds are sooo comfy. Restful and peaceful vibes abound. And the back porch (the size of a school bus!) has a view into the wilds of Edisto. Perfect for napping with nature. The owner has definitely put great thought into guests' comforts. The book selection is amazing! Quiet, relaxing and definitely away from it all!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2010
About the owner: I am a lowcountry native who returned home to start an ecotour business so I could share my love of this area with others. This property is a dream come true for me and I look forward to sharing it with you.
Why the Owner Chose Edisto Beach:
To own a home surrounded by 4,000 acres of protected land is a life's dream. Botany Bay Plantation is a SC gem and this cabin has a unique placement, right on the edge of forests, beaches, and marshes that will always be protected. You can't get any closer for an overnight stay.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
At Chateau Relaxo, the goal is relaxation without interruption. The 500 sq. ft screened porch is a room unto itself and I often bird by ear here in the morning and evening. Whether in front of the fire or on the porch, peace and tranquility reign. We have intentionally not added internet or phones. One television is hooked up to an antennae for local service if you desire. The idea is to get away. If you need these devices, some cell services work here (Verizon has the best reception).
