This newly constructed cottage offers a master bedroom with a queen size bed and separate bath on the first floor and a large second floor sleeping loft with three double beds and two twin size beds. The loft has a bathroom and a large balcony. The cottage offers front and rear covered porches for shaded outdoor lounging and the rear second floor deck for sunbathing when not at the beach. There is a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher and microwave, a clothes washer and dryer, and cable TV and internet. The two zone air conditioning system allows for comfortable indoor temperatures both upstairs and down. There is also an outdoor shower.

We've had a great time, lovely beaches, great fishing. Our place was nice and clean, well equipped. Upstairs has enough sleepping arranements, however, I'd recommend 'portable privacy walls' between some of the beds. It was pleasure dealing with the owner, very honest and trustworthy. We also found out that some owners include golf carts with the property as well. We did appreciate our owner letting us use the bicycles, but after few days we ended up renting the golf cart, which we found bit expensive.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with young children.

About the owner: My wife and I traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and the Bahamas for over 25 years always looking for a place where we could truly feel at home. The moment we stepped off the water taxi onto Spanish Wells we knew we had finally found it. This friendly and safe working class fishing village was just the place. No pushy vendors selling 'authentic' Bahamian souvenirs or flashy tourist attractions, just a nice quiet place where you felt safe and welcomed.
Why the Owner Chose Spanish Wells:
After looking at several houses on the island and not finding anything that we truly fell in love with (well to be honest we fell in love with a few houses that were way out of our price range; of course, isn't that always the case) we purchased a lot and over the next year and a half had our dream house (cottage) built. It has turned out to be everything we hoped it would be.
