Chez Hubbert is on 3 floors. The ground floor has the kitchen lounge and terrace; the top has 2 bedrooms, and a bathroom, and the lower floor has 2 more bedrooms and another bathroom, as well as beautiful garden with a fantastic view out over the vines.
The middle floor is on street level but at the back of the house it opens out onto a lovely terrace with magnificent views. From the front door entrance you come into the foyer then through to the gourmet kitchen. A door off the kitchen leads through into the loungeroom. Both the kitchen and lounge have doors which open out onto the terrace. There is a large outdoor table and chairs on the terrace for enjoying outside meals under the shade of the pergola. There is also a BBQ at the end of the terrace.
The upper floor is accessed by a stone staircase from just inside the front door. Halfway up on the left is the main bathroom with toilet. Then there is the second bedroom with twin beds which can be joined together to make another kingsize bed. Further on down the hall, there is the main bedroom with kingsize bed and french antique furniture. The views from this room and the hall window are spectacular, looking out over the vineyards.
The lower floor is accessed by an ancient stone staircase leading down into the peaceful garden. From there you enter the two downstairs bedrooms, bathroom, shower and separate toilet. The view from the garden is quite spectacular, looking out over the vineyards and olives. There is another table with seating for four, as well as two lounge chairs to relax in.
We have recently installed a hot tub in the back yard for relaxing after a long day exploring or cycling!

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2007
About the owner: We initially purchased the 4 bedroom house in Vinsobres because we wanted to leave in France to enable our son to attend school for 18 months. We had always dreamed of living in a stone house in a village on a hill, surrounded by vineyards, and the dream came true! We are now based back in Australia but intend to maintain our connection with the South of France.
Why the Owner Chose Drome:
We purchased this particular property after looking at 37 properties in the Rhone Valley in a period of 2 weeks around Easter 2007. We settled on the region around Nyons and Vaison la Romaine because of the unique appeal of the area. This narrowed the search to a largish stone house in a perched village in that region. Luckily we found 14 Rue Reynarde and named it 'Chez Hubbert'.
