After renting homes ourselves on VRBO for years, we found Frisco is the best location to be for year round activities in Summit County. Eight major ski areas are 10 to 30 minutes away (Copper Mountain, Vail, Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin and Loveland). You are just a few minutes off I 70 so access is easy. Miles and miles of bike paths are at your doorstep. Walk to Starbucks, restaurants, Safeway, Liquor store and much more. Frisco has an adorable Main Street. It’s so much more than what you get at the base of a ski area but not as crowded as Breckenridge. The Summit Stage free bus system is close by.
We find the kitchen is often where people gather and this home has a great kitchen for entertaining. It’s open with lots of counter space and a huge dining area with big windows and great views. When we bought the place the previous owners had a small table with six miss-matched chairs. We recently found the perfect mountain table for this home. It’s 10’ long with a 2” thick solid walnut top and a rustic finish. We added 10 leather chairs to complete the set. It fits in the dining area with room to spare. This home sleeps 10 and feeds ten in comfort.
Other amenities include your very own, private Hotsprings Grande Hot tub right out our back door (which is professionally maintained), a heated two car garage and lots of windows with nice views. There are three new flat screen TV’s (60” Sharp Aquos in Family Room, 40” Sharp Aquos in MBR and 32” Samsung Smart TV in Kitchen), all three are 1080p with wireless connections, Comcast Cable and free Netflix with wireless internet and a wireless printer.
There are 3 living levels: On the top level (level 3) , the Master Suite (BR #1) has a king size bed, walk-in closet, private deck facing Lake Dillon and en-suite bathroom with separate shower and jetted tub. The Master Suite also has a loveseat facing a 40” Sharp Aquos 1080p TV with Comcast Cable, DVD Player and Netflix. Also on the top level are two more bedrooms: BR #2 has a Queen bed and new rustic log furniture; BR #3 has two sets of new bunk beds (one bunk is twin over twin and the other is twin over full). BR #2 and BR #3 share a hall bath on the same level. There is a washer and dryer on this level as well. There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms on this level.
On the 2nd level, there is a large kitchen with granite counter tops and a large dining area. In the dining area, there is a new 10’ Rustic Walnut Table with 2” thick solid wood top and ten leather high back chairs. The kitchen has wall-mounted 32” Samsung 1080p Smart TV with Comcast Cable, wireless internet, Netflix and a BOSE iPod Dock (so bring your ipod). There is a deck off the kitchen area with a Weber gas grill. The kitchen has a coffee maker, toaster, electric frypan, crock pot, portable mixer, griddle for the stove top, large electric griddle, Cusinart Little Pro Plus food processor, blender and coffee grinder. On this level is a powder room that services the kitchen/dining level and the family room level. The dining area has a cabinet full of games for all ages.
On the 1.5 level, there is an open family room with 15 foot ceilings and beautiful views to open space meadow and forest and Lake Dillon. Also, in the family room, there is a 60” Sharp Aquos 1080p TV with Comcast Cable, Netflix and DVR, a gas fireplace and seating for 10. There is also a deck off this level.
On the entry level, (level 1) is a bench to remove your boots or shoes and a closet for outerwear storage.
BR #4, a 2nd Master Suite, is on lowest level with Queen Bed and private ¾ bath. Also on this level is access to the large, private hot tub.
The townhouse location is private and secluded, yet just a short walk to Safeway with a Starbucks and various restaurants, ski shops, bike shops, banks, liquor store and other shops. A full service Starbucks is a pleasant 20 minute walk away. There are only 40 townhouses in this community with a private bike path entrance to the Frisco/Dillon Bike Path and a private walking path to the Lake.
Express Summit Stage Bus Stop to Copper Mountain is 5 minutes away. Summit Stage Transfer Station is ten minutes away (behind Safeway) with Kiss & Ride drop off or free parking there for the day while you ride the free Summit Stage bus to skiing at Copper Mountain, Keystone, Breckenridge or Arapahoe Basin. (Summit Stage is a free local bus system).
Ten minutes to down town Frisco and the Frisco Marina with its quaint Main Street full of interesting shops, restaurants, bars and breweries. Rent a sail boat or power boat at the Frisco Marina.

Year Purchased: 2012
About the owner: We purchased this town home as a vacation get-a-way for our extended family. We live in Denver. We get up as often as we can summer and winter. We needed a place that was large enough to accommodate our family of two children and four grand children (ages 1 to 9) and this place is perfect. There are plenty of sleeping accommodations, a large eating area and large family room. The eight person hot tub was icing on the cake. Our favorite ski area is Copper Mountain.
