I stayed 5 nights and was so glad I opted to stay here rather than with friends. I had all the quiet, comforts, privacy and convenience I needed to get my work done. This is a beautifully appointed studio in a wonderful and centrally located part of town, and Michelle is the landlady everyone wished they had (more like a mother). I asked for a blender and it was there when I arrived. I hope the studio is available next time I'm in town. To cover the review tips and guidelines: The listing description is accurate, it looks just like the photos, the studio was immaculately clean, the owner answered all my questions promptly, and I would recommend this to friends and relatives.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

A recent two day stay was one of the best experiences we ever had in our travels. This place has all the comforts of home. Michelle is an excellent hostess, providing just about every amenity that could be thought of. We felt like we were staying with a friend. The place is perfect for two people, is very quiet and centrally located near the famed Arizona Inn. Shopping, like Whole Foods is not far away. All in all, a great place to stay. We'll be back.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

This was a great rental. It perfectly suited my wife and my needs. It's close-in to the Sam Hughes neighborhood, UoA and downtown - all walkable. Beautiful retreat, clean, very private and a short stroll to the bar at the Arizona Inn. Michelle the our and her family were most gracious and flexible. Loved the skylights!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

We recently spent 6 nights in this conveniently located beautiful guest cottage. We were NOT disappointed. The cottage was immaculate. A tremendous amount of attention was given to detail. The front lights were left on enabling us to easily find the address. Little trays were placed on the nightstands to empty pockets. Michelle was very friendly and accommodating. She gave some wonderful dining recommendations. I would highly recommend this cottage to Tucson visitors. I suspect in the future it will become difficult to make reservations here as this is a real gem!!!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

This darling studio, in the historic district, was fabulous. I loved it. The owner 'went out of her way' to please while making sure all was well. Very friendly and generous. I am super-particular about where I stay and this place met my expectations. The first thing that caught my eye, when I entered, was how beautifully decorated it was. Hardwood floors. Oriental rugs. Modern art hung on the white walls. Cozy; sleep-like-a-rock comfortable bed. A reader-friendly couch with good lighting. Kitchen was immaculate. A little hotplate was available for simple cooking. I like a great shower. This one had a powerful shower head. There was an ample walk-in closet for hanging clothes and shelving available. The entire studio was impeccably clean. Smoke-free. Fresh smelling. The private little courtyard with the wrought iron gate leading out to the street was pretty. When I would return in the evening, the candle on the outdoor table was light to welcome me home. I enjoyed walking to the Arizona Inn. Had a lovely salmon salad for lunch there. Renting a car was smart as I drove to the DeGrazia Gallery and another day, went to the Arizona-Senora Desert Museum. Going to Sabina Canyon was an easy drive. Loved being in the historic district. The location of this studio was perfect for me. I felt very safe. It was private and serene. I recommend this 'charmer' to professionals, retirees, and 55+ individuals.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

We spent 8 days at this particular location. Our stay was peaceful and enjoyable. This property and studio is very well groomed, clean and presented a welcome feeling. The property owner was very accommodating and informative. We had our own vehicle and conveniently parked just a few yards from the front door. The property and studio gave us a feeling of peace and security amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Blenman-Elm area. We would recommend this property to our family and friends, and hope to stay here again on a future visit to the Tucson area.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

We spent the week before Thanksgiving at this adorable guesthouse and it was amazing! Immaculate, cozy and quiet, it is the perfect getaway spot in Tucson. We were easily able to get to the University of Arizona, the Arizona Inn, and a variety of restaurants in the area. Michelle was the best host- eager to help us with anything we needed- and she had the guesthouse equipped with all the essentials... and more. This is the only place I will stay when visiting Tucson! PERFECT!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, pet owners, romantic getaway.

Fantastic! Although the photos of this guesthouse are beautiful, they can't do it justice. Every detail is perfect. The owner Michelle thought of everything to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. She offered her help, restaurant suggestions, sights to visit, and created a warm and friendly atmosphere that made our stay all the more enjoyable. The guesthouse is spotlessly clean and in a very quiet, centrally-located neighborhood. We highly recommend it and wouldn't even look for another place to stay on our next visit to Tucson.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Love, love loved it! This little gem in the middle of Tucson should not be missed. You are close the the vibe of the city but tucked away in a calm, almost zen like neighborhood. The best part is you can walk to a yummy dinner at the Arizona Inn and not pay their prices to sleep. Michelle was a perfect hostess!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, pet owners, romantic getaway.
Owner response: I really enjoyed meeting this couple. I also appreciate their thoughtful input, too. May I be so lucky as to always have such fun, nice (and tidy I might add) people.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: I was born and raised in Tucson. I lived in NYC for many years and returned to Tucson in 1987. My family currently lives in the main house on the property where the guest house is located.
Why the Owner Chose Blenman-Elm:
I have always loved this area of Tucson. I grew up in a house a few blocks away from this house. The property is like having your own private oasis right in the heart of Tucson. Privacy and close to everything - what more could you ask for?
The Unique Benefits at this Studio:
The main house and guesthouse are located in a truly historic, beautiful neighborhood. The main house was believed to have been built in the 1930s for the first manager of the Arizona Inn. I loved this house the second I walked in the front door. The guesthouse (approximately 700 square feet)was built in 1958. It's a terrific open layout with a sitting area with a fireplace, working/dining area, etc.
