Owner response: I love a clean house. I thought about putting a hammock in the back. Now I know for sure I will put a hammock in the back yard. It is nice as a property owner to have great guests and so far that has been the case.
House very clean and exactly what we were looking for. Our pets were very secure in the back yard and we will go back for sure when available for longer time.

Owner response: These renters went above and beyond to take care of my rental property. I would rent to them again. Very trustful. I believe I have a repeat customer here.
Best stay ever! It was my first time in Florida and I didn't want to leave. It made getting our son set for college much easier! I am a pretty picky person when it comes to cleanliness and jo ann does a very good job! The house was very clean and comfortable! Very cute little house, perfect for a family of 2-4! Less than 8 min from Daytona! It is very close to the beach, but it was much easier to just drive a few blocks with all of our beach gear :) Jo ann is very accommodating, we had a small issue and she was on top of it! I just cant say enough! So much better than a hotel stay! When we return, we would love to stay at this house again! Thank you jo ann, we already miss Ormond! Lots of love from MN!

Cute Houe & Great Location
Cute Houe & Great Location
We were so happy we chose Ormond Beach o/ Daytona. Smaller more private beach convenient to theatres, grocery & wonderful restaurants. 5 minutes from Daytona if you want the big beach experience & mini golf, boardwalks, etc. We spent a day at Disney which was much further than we anticipated (about 1 hour & 45 minutes) but we were still glad we chose Ormond area. The house was cute, new kitchen, nice lay out for a smaller place. Because of the screened in porch you felt like you had a lot of space. The 2 beds were very comfortable but full size, something to consider if you're tall or just need something bigger. The renter was fantastic & very accommodating. She made our first vrbo experience quite wonderful & we will definitely ask to rent from them again!

Owner response: My property is is very centrally located to St. Augustine, Daytona, Flagler and of course Ormond Beach. The beach park at Ormond has a life guard on duty. Daytona is just 7 miles south on A1A. I designed the kitchen so that it was something I would want to use myself, and I do. The property is like a little home away from home. There are some great one of a kind restaurants here and some chains as well. I know some would like to have a different size bed then a full size in the second bedroom but then some are fine with it. I think whenever I go to replace the full size I will probably get twin beds for that second bedroom. Disney is about an hour and 45 minutes from the property and that depends on traffic as well. This property accommodates families with children nicely!
Great Beach Vacation
Great Beach Vacation
This beautiful, updated, beach bungalow is in a quiet neighborhood. Either a short drive or walk brings you to various beach accesses. We enjoyed the beach park access that had a picnic area, restrooms, out door showers, playground, and a life guard on duty. The beach itself was beautiful and the sand gradually sloped into the ocean so you could easily walk out to where you felt comfortable. We enjoyed walking and relaxing on the beach, as well as body and board surfing the waves. We were within walking distance to a Publix grocery store and restaurants. Although, we did eat some dinners in... by cooking on the new gas grill and eating on the screened in back porch. Our teenage daughter is still asking her father to find out if the owners would sell their beautiful, beach bungalow to us! We will definitely be back again!

Owner response: The Ormond Beach area is so family friendly. The park beaches provide fun and safety with a life guard on duty. This property is so conveniently located to shopping, grocery, and restaurants. The gas grill on the screened in back porch is great for outdoor grilling. You must experience some the local restaurants because they are like no other. The quiet neighborhood where the bungalow sits makes for a fantastic relaxing getaway. I would love for this bungalow to be handicapped friendly however, it is not because the bathroom door ways are only 24 inches wide. It is so nice to hear that the adults as well as the children enjoy this little vacation getaway. It also says something about the property when you get such nice reviews and they are not even requested. St. Augustine is only 30-40 minutes north on A1A and Daytona Beach is only 7 miles south on A1A.
Myself, husband, younger sister and 2 girls (ages 2 & 7 months) rented this home for the week of July 4th. I was very impressed with this home the moment we walked in the door. The layout is great. The beds sleep very well and overall the house is cozy, we felt right at home. I did enjoy that the beach is within walking distance as well as the full washer and dryer and screened in back porch. Owner of this property was very nice and very easy to get along with. We will most definitely visit this home again if we are in the area!

Owner response: Making sure the beds are comfortable and clean is important to us. In between rentals I spend everyday and minutes there because I love the property and area. The back porch is great outdoor space that is screened in and roomy. The location of the house to the beach is great! I try to make sure everything a person would need if all they brought was their clothes is available. The property is just very cozy, beachie, and relaxing. We have had the best vacationers stay at our property since we began renting about 3 yrs ago.
This is a cute bungalow that has been updated and definitely suited our needs. The large screen room and fully fenced yard were great for our 2 dogs and for just relaxing after a day at the beach. The beachfront park is only about a mile away. It is free and very convenient if you need to carry a lot down to the beach. There is a walk way to the beach just to the left of Publix (which is close to the house) or to the right at Brooks Street. The owner has provided everything you might need inside the house. The only negative I can think of is there could be more lighting in the larger bedroom, but that really was not an issue except for trying to read in bed. We will stay here again, I and I will recommend it to my friends. It is a little place to "get away."

Owner response: We try to provide everything one would need to get away so that if you only brought your clothes with you, you would be covered. We always let everyone know that they are welcome to any food left in the cabinets or fridge as we check for expiration dates and throw away anything out dated. That way there is something there in case you just don't feel like going to the store right when you get there. The back yard is completely fenced in and we have it sprayed for fleas and ticks and stuff. The beaches are so close within walking distance about 10 - 15 minutes to walk. We are going to put an extra light in the big bedroom over the headboard in case one needs it to read by at night. The back screened in porch is a great outdoor space and very peaceful and quiet. Great place to relax and chill!
Home away from Home
Home away from Home
My husband and two girls stayed in this cute and cozy bungalow last week. It was very clean, inviting, and has everything you could ask for. My favorite of all was the screen room, where my husband could use the BBQ, rain or shine. We spent quite a bit of time out there. It was very private, as well. Love, love, loved our stay here. The laundry room was a bonus. Loved the location, so close to everything. Also took a drive to St. Augustine. What a beautiful city!! I totally recommend this home away from home. I would not think twice about returning. Thank you, Jo Ann!

Owner response: I am glad to hear consistently that the bungalow is clean. I pride myself in the cleanliness and cozy set up. The back porch is quiet and peaceful. Most of the time you can hear the ocean waves crashing on the beach. The location is so close to so many things to do like St. Augustine which only 30minutes or so from the bungalow. Daytona is about 10-15 minutes south on A1A. You will not want for things to do or a peaceful cozy place to come back to and relax after a long day of fun.
Great Home Near the Beach!
Great Home Near the Beach!
I can't say enough about this home. It was great! It was located in a quiet subdivision. The house was close to the beach and shopping areas. The house was also very clean and very up to date in design. The screened in porch was a very nice place to eat breakfast in the morning. I would highly recommend this home to anyone needing a place to stay in this area. It is 100% better than staying in a hotel room or small condo where you are constantly stepping over other people or your luggage. Bedrooms were a good size and closet space was more than adequate. Contact with the owner of the property was also very positive!

Owner response: One of the features of this house that made me like it was the closet space. The neiborhood is very quiet with shopping and banks within a 15 minute walk. The bungalow is just enough room for 4 people to give everyone good space. The screened in back porch is great to enjoy some outdoor space. It is nice to have your own privte space. The beach is either a walk to the end of the street or a drive about 1/4 mile north on A1A to a beach park that has showers and restrooms. The location is central to St. Augustine, Olando, and just down the street to Daytona. I agree thst this house is a geat girls week or weekend getaway.
My wife and I stayed with some friends and the house was awesome very clean, cable , Wi-Fi, nice kitchen, screened in patio, its also a close walk to the beach, Publix, a few banks, and stores and a short drive to Daytona. Only one negative I wish there were two queen size beds instead of full/queen but other than that perfect. I would recommend to anyone very relaxing. The owner takes great care of property.

Owner response: We love to hear that vacationers love staying at our property. We would love to accommodate everyone with the "bed" inventory but since we can't we have 1 queen and 1 full size. This kitchen has been fully renovated and I like to make it look new again before a new vacation renter comes to stay. The location is absolutely convenient to the beach, shopping, and Daytona. Great Location!

Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: I was born in New Jersey at the shore. I grew up in Cape Coral, FL since I was 12. I went to High School at North Fort Myers High and am attending University of Phoenix and am currently a Junior. I am 52 and married. We currently live in Ocala, FL and have lived here for 8 years, previously we lived and worked in Cape Coral, FL where we raised our daughter. Our daughter and son-in-law live in Chicago, IL. They are young techy's who live and work in the city.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
My husband and I purchased this bungalow thinking it would be a great place for our family members to vacation and a great place to meet up other then in Ocala. Unfortunately everyone can only get away a few times a year due to work and life. I love this house because of the wood beam ceilings. They just grabbed me and I had to have it. The rest of the house needed a lot of work and updating, so myself, my husband, and my brother totally renovated and updated entire house both skin and bones. I love to decorate so that was the fun part for me.
The Unique Benefits at this Bungalow:
What I really loved about this house was high wood beam ceilings and the house is only 1 block from the beach. This house is located in between the ocean and the Halifax River. I love the drive down A1A and the drive down John Anderson Ave along the river. This house is located right in between million dollar homes at either end of the street. It's just enough house to enjoy vacation time at the beach, Daytona, Disney and St. Augustine. You can even sit out on the small front porch and enjoy the weather. We were able to design the kitchen ourselves since the previous kitchen was practically non existent. Most nights you can sit on either porch and hear the ocean, it is very relaxing.
