Fantastic Beach Vacation
Fantastic Beach Vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this cottage. It was just what we were looking for; a relaxing week on Lake Michigan at a place with all of the comforts of home. It was clean and well-maintained and the owner was very prompt and helpful with any questions we had. The beach has sugar soft sand; there are some rocks in the water (recommend water shoes for the "tender-footed"). We enjoyed many long beach walks and did some rock hunting. The star-gazing from the beach was pretty amazing. The cottage has a newly remodeled kitchen which was a joy to cook in. The kitchen opens to an eating area with a great dining table and a large living room with a wall of windows overlooking Lake Michigan. The bedrooms have very comfortable beds and having 3 1/2 bathrooms was a plus. We spent a lot of time on the large deck. There's a table and chair set plus many extra chairs; also a really nice large grill. The sunsets from the deck were spectacular! We enjoyed strolling through the nearby towns of Leland, Northport and Suttons Bay. Did not visit Sleeping Bear Dunes this year, but would highly recommend it to anyone who has never been. Some of our favorite restaurants were The Garage in Northport and The Cove in Leland.

Owner response: Thank you so much for your kind words. We really went to great lengths to make our home as comfortable as possible.
Our family totally enjoyed our stay at this lovely beach house. The view and sunsets were awe inspiring, and the accommodations were lovely. Our five year old granddaughter proclaimed this "my dream house" when we first arrived. The rock hunting on the beach was quite interesting - found many Petosky stones and Leland Blue rocks. We would recommend water shoes for the water, but the beach is sugary-white sand. Bicycling in the area is great! Would love to return in the future.

A Little Piece of Paradise
A Little Piece of Paradise
Three generations came together in your beautiful and family friendly home. Our vacation could not have been better. All of the amenities of home were at our fingertips. The kitchen and the Wolf range made meal preparation a fun task for my daughter and me. The beds were so comfortable and you had so many towels. We had so much space to enjoy. The lovely deck overlooking the lake was perfect for nightly al fresco dining and the chairs on beach were our perch for bonfires and star gazing. You have the best stretch of beach with easy access and rock hunting became a new hobby. We even had fun chatting with the friendly neighbors. Thank you for sharing your home away from home. We hope to return yearly and keep on making more memories with our grandchildren. The day trip to the dunes was only 30 minutes and a nice dock in Lake Leelanau provided the children's spot to catch perch. More memories.
