Our 4 bedroom, 3.5 bathroom, 2,600 sq ft ski-in/ski-out townhome is everything you would expect from a luxury townhome.
The townhome features 2 livings spaces as well as a loft with a table for playing games with many amenities for family entertainment: 5 Flat Screen TVs w/DVD players and movie library, WIFI, I Home, board games, 2 gas fireplaces and a gas grill. The home is ideal for two or three families to share. Sleeping areas are private and self-contained with views from every room.
The gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances includes a bar with seating and opens to the great room and dining area, giving you plenty of space to relax and gather with family and friends.
There are two ski lifts within immediate walking distance from the front door of the townhome and access to the Nordic ski-area is also conveniently nearby. Hiking trails abound in the millions of acres of the pristine San Juan National Forest. Explore mountain biking, backpacking, fly-fishing, hiking, four-wheeling, and nearly every other imaginable high alpine recreational pursuit directly out the front door.
Enjoy views of the incomparable Needles Mountain range off the spacious decks or as you simply take another sip of coffee or and plan your adventures. The townhomes are named Alpenglow after the incredible optical phenomenon often witnessed glowing off the Needles just after sunset. This townhome has an ideal location for both recreation and an unparalleled setting for mountain relaxation.

For an optional 8% resort fee, you will have access to the Durango MountainClub which includes an outdoor heated pool with slide, outdoor hot tub adnd gym (just a short walk from the townhome).
Stay with us and we offer DISCOUNTS on both summer (rafting trips, horsebackriding etc.) and winter (ski/snowboard rentals, lift tickets, sleigh rides,snowmobile tours etc.) activities.

We really enjoy staying at this condo: this was our third stay here in three years. The condo is beautifully decorated and very large - easily sleeping 12 people. We like the ski in/ski out convenience and the heated garage is great to store ski boots/poles over night. The kitchen is fully stocked and has all the amenities we needed. The large dining room table is a wonderful gathering place for games every evening and there are TVs on every floor. We especially like the fireplaces in the living room and the upstairs master bedroom. This place has great views and is so conveniently located that we were able to ski to the condo every afternoon for lunch. There is hard water on the mountain, but we did not find the hard water film on the dishes to be a problem, and we always drink the water here so I'm not sure what the issue was that the previous reviewer had. Also, the wifi worked fine and we had no problems so we didn't have to call the management office at all. We are looking forward to coming back this summer to enjoy to hiking and river rafting. We'll stay here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Very convenient property in the perfect location. Nicely furnished condo with the convenience of being right on the mountain at DMR. Plenty of room for a large group to stay comfortably. Would absolutely love to stay there again and I highly recommend the Falcon's Nest!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

When we arrived the management company had failed to notified the caretaker that we were coming, so it was 45 degrees in the house for hours and we couldn't use the bottom floor until the next day. We were also told, as listed that they had WIFI. Being gone for a week without wifi really put us all in a bind with our work as we fell behind and had to spend hours catching up when we got home. We made as many as 15 calls between us all to request repair and it never happened. We were promised time and time again that it would be fixed the next day. The water in the building was so bad that we couldn't drink or allow our kids to take baths in it for a week. The utensils were caked with lime scale and the water pressure was horrible. When we ran the water upon arrival we asked the caretaker if he would drink it and he gave a quick answer of .. no way! The garage door remote also failed to ever work. On our day of departure, we packed our bags and set by the back door and got out around 10 and went and ate lunch and hung out with friends. I got a call that check out time was at 10 and that we needed to be out so they could clean. Our bags were a total of three by the back door, not impairing any cleaning but she continued to be ugly with me about 10am checkout. Very rude and horrible service.Recommended for: Tourists without a car.

It is now managed by Durango Premier Vacation Rentals, the leading property management company in Durango. WIFI was installed in the townhome and DPVR now provides cleaning services and has effective procedures to ensure properties are ready for guest arrivals as well as to manage issue resolution promptly. We would love to host you again and are confident that DVPR will provide an enhanced experience. Additionally, we would offer a discount.
