About the owner: I am a retired art teacher and full-time artist, living half the year in New York City. I love living in both worlds, so very different with wonderful advantages to both. San Miguel is very people oriented, many opportunities to get to know others thru the arts, whether music, theater or gallery visits. Workshops are available here in many different areas of interest. Yoga, Tai Chi, Dance as well. Excellent restaurants (good bread!) Many great cafes.
Why the Owner Chose Colonia Independencia:
I first came to San Miguel de Allende in 1980, but had heard about it as a teenager growing up in New York City. I've always been attracted to the arts and colors of Mexico, the music as well. After coming down for many years during the summer, I decided I wanted to buy property and build a house. I'm happy I did.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I was traveling with my 15 year old daughter at the time and we looked in the local paper Atencion and noticed several listings. We contacted the owners of various properties and I fell in love with the neighborhood in Colonia Independencia! That was the defining moment for me and my daughter, who helped me actualize my decision.
