Hi Dan Just wanted to thank you again for your hospitality on April 19-21, 2013. Your place was PURRRFECT for our bachelorette party. The girls had a great time. (all 15 of us) (The only complaint I heard from the girls was the bedrooms needed mirrors)LOL I enjoyed the fact I got to cook, as my daughter has to be on a gluten free diet. We were able to sit out on the deck in the evening at chat, laugh and just be silly. It was funny to see the girls react when we arrived and how they chose where they were going to sleep. It took me back to high school days when I had sleep overs. So Much FUN!!!! My daughter had a wonderful time and was so surprised your house accomodated everyone. I was so very touched you called me twice to check on me Friday before arriving and called on Sat to see if we needed anything. For being a long way from home (MO.) I sure did feel right at home and so protected. Thank you for allowing me to create such a wonderful memory for my daughter on her bachelorette party. I have given several people your house information and highly recommend anyone needing to stay in Nashville to get ahold of you. Thanks again. I rented this beautiful lake home for the 1st birthday of my son. The view of the lake from the back deck was gorgeous. The leaves were starting to change on the trees and it made for a gorgeous setting to celebrate! The back deck was large and comfortable to accommodate my family. There were several chairs to sit in and an AWESOME grill. The bedrooms all had comfortable queen size beds, with one room having an additional twin size bed. We had plenty of room to spread out and sleep. There are flat screen televisions in two of the bedrooms and a huge flat screen in the kitchen. The kitchen has custom cabinets and counter tops. Kim has thoughtfully placed all the little “extras” you could ever need in the kitchen. The home was beautifully decorated and has hardwood floors. The dining room has a huge farmhouse style table that is big enough to seat the whole family. We had a wonderful time and will cherish our memories of the birthday weekend for years to come. Dan and Kim were wonderful hosts and made sure we had everything we needed. We hope to return!Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: I am a native Tennessean and grew up in the Nashville area. My children are now High School/College scholars, Lawyers and such! Having been an entrepreneur forever and recently retired from the distribution company I started in 1990, I have been looking for something to keep me busy and cover the cost of my lake home. Having used VRBO for renting homes in the past, I began considering offering the house to travelers coming to Nashville. I wanted to be sure our guest felt like they were in a friends home and not an Investment Rental. My fiance Kim, and I worked for 2 months selecting and stocking the house to be sure it was 'right' and the response from our guest, now 'friends' has been overwhelming! We meet our guest at the house for check-in and have had made many friends. We are committed to making sure our guest have a great home to enjoy during their time in Nashville. We have been so excited by our experience, we recently purchased another home on the lake, just 5 minutes away. We hope you come to Nashville and get a chance to stay in one of our homes! Dan and Kim
Why the Owner Chose Nashville:
This is the 2nd lake home we have acquired so I could share my experience of living on Old Hickory Lake with the many families and visitors discovering what a cool town Nashville has become. This home is located on a secondary large cove with deep and peacefull water. Yet, just a couple of minutes from the dock in the back yard you slip into the primary cove 'Two Foot' which is great for dropping anchor and joining in a vollyball game with your soon to be new friends. Don't be bashfull, we love to meet new people and there are no strangers in 'two foot' !

Our home is located in a quite neighborhood on Old Hickory Lake just outside Nashville. If you love the excitement of heading out to Tootsie's, Robert's, the Country Music Hall of Fame or any one of the many famous Nashville spots, you are just 30 minutes away!After you had your fill of 'two steppin' you can head back to the house and do a little 'two Footin' in the cove or simply relax with a great views of the cove and maybe 'wet a line' from the dock. It's an experience unique to those staying in our 'Home on the Lake, just outside the city' and one we believe you will never forget!
