Great Condo for Two Couples
Great Condo for Two Couples

Everything in the condo was as described or pictured - very nice, very clean, and the fact that there is a separate bathroom for each bedroom makes it a great place for two couples. Brian did provide a nice bottle of Pinot Noir to welcome us, and promptly replaced the coffee maker, once we found it wasn't working. The townhome was in a good location - close to downtown Portland, and close to our relatives who live in Portland. We had a car, so we did a lot of driving, however there are parks, stores, and the HUB sports grill within walking distance. Loved the fact that Portland is so health-conscious - organic everything, vegan and vegetarian options on almost all menus, lots of public transportation, and even though we didn't do any biking on this trip, bike paths everywhere. Try the HUB (Hopworks Urban Brewery) - the salads and pizza are amazing. Skip Pok Pok - or maybe give it a try and hope that you have a better experience than we did. All in all, our trip to Portland was wonderful, and we would definitely stay at Brian's townhome again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+.

Brian's Townhouse was everything noted and more. We all had a blast in Oregon! And before we even arrived in Oregon, I felt I knew Brian for years. Brian, we all would like to thank you for all the extras you shared with us. I even called Brian as if he was our personal tour guide. He always answered his phone when I called and was very polite. The home was very well kept, well stocked, all appliances were like brand new. The listing was exactly as described and the pictures were nice but the townhouse was even nicer than the pictures were. I will never rent a hotel again. I am Hooked on HomeAway.comRecommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

The condo is a great space. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We had everything we needed for the whole weekend. The owner was quickly responsive to my question regarding wifi. We really couldn't have asked for better accommodations. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Brian was great and easy to work with. He hung out late in order to greet me on my arrival. He also worked it out so I could use a bicycle he kept in the garage. That was a nice touch. My favorite touch was the gluten-free beer and cider he bought for me after learning of my gluten allergy. The place was very clean and comfortable. The location was good for us. When you pull up to the place, it doesn't seem like a great area, but we were able to walk north about 10 blocks and find dozens of awesome eating place. Parking was easy. The only critical feedback I have is that I'd prefer to have mattress covers on the beds. When a bed is being shared by different folks, it would put me more at ease if I was sleeping on clean sheets AND a clean mattress cover.Recommended for: Tourists without a car.
Owner response: Noted Chris easy fix. Thanks so much for your feedback.

First of all, the owner, Brian, was so great to work with in booking the place. The townhome has been recently rehabbed, top to bottom, and is just gorgeous. Super clean! It is with walking distance to HUB brew pub (great happy hour) as well as all the great restaurants on division street. It is very short drive to downtown and everything Portland has to offer. I will definitely stay here again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Hard to think of anything wrong about this place -- everything was pretty much brand new, and shiny and the place had everything we could have possibly wanted. We had our dog with us and we were able to walk to a very nice park nearby. The owner was very helpful and made sure we were comfortable. I would definitely like to stay there again.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway.

First Brian was amazing. Since we were coming in the middle of the holiday season, we had stopped to pick up something to make it feel like the holidays. We did not need to do this because when we walked in the door Brian had set up a beautiful Christmas Tree and Christmas lights on the outside of the house, all on timers. It was brilliant. We were there only an hour when Brian brought us a choice of wines. We picked a wonderful Oregon Pinot Noir, delicious. He also knew that we were going to make a holiday meal for our family and asked us how many plates we needed. He brought us additional plates and silverware for our dinner. He was just wonderful in every way. Secondly, the condo was clean and felt like home. It was centrally located, we were able to walk to many places. We will be staying here again in the summer time and looking forward to it. Stay here.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: I hate talking about myself, but I have bought and sold many properties over the years bought my first house at the ripe age of 21 in Portland. Since I grew up in Portland and can't imagine living anyplace else. Ok, Well I could see myself living in Germany, only because it's so much like Portland beer and all. I have watched Portland change all for the good. I can also offer some suggestions of places to go and things to do. I spend most of my time outdoors, jet skiing, biking, running, skiing and snowboarding in the winter. I keep very active in fun runs, IE Warrior Dash, Marathons, Triathlons and anything else that might sound interesting at the time. Call me anytime or e-mail with any suggestions you might have or might want.
Why the Owner Chose Creston-Kenilworth:
I just decided to convert this townhouse from a month to month to a vacation rental. Why this Property? Close to downtown, affordable, easy access to downtown and other neighborhoods close by.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
I will be provide to you 2 bikes with helmets for you to use with locks to explore the Portland area. Since Portland is so Bike friendly I'm hoping this is a nice feature for all that stay. I will also provide a bottle of some of our local wines.
