  Had a wonderful time. Place was perfect size for our two families. Kids really enjoyed their stay and "rocking" on the dock. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make thanksgiving dinner. Only thing it didnt have was a can opener. Which was suprising as it had EVERYTHING else you could think of. Was great experience.Would definately stay here again.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.

  We met a few friends (9 adults) from out of town for a spur of the moment weekend getaway. Lisa was very professional and had everything ready for our arrival given that we booked only a few days prior! The Hartwell Heaven and Surf Shack exceeded expectations! It felt like home away from home and the "kids," aka single men, really enjoyed the tiki bar and surf shack! We spent our days canoeing, playing on the paddle boat, swimming, and floating in the quiet cove. We cooked almost every meal on the grill or in the kitchen which had everything we needed. We spent our evenings by the fire pit enjoying good company and great conversations. It was the perfect weekend for both the couples and singles. I can't wait to go back to Hartwell Heaven and Surf Shack for our next lake adventure!

  Wet laundry left in dryer---the refrigerator leaked water to kitchen floor---one bad early morning fall by my wife when she walked in to kitchen and slipped on floor---master bedroom smelled like dog pee---grill to cook on was a joke----rusted and burnt out----sheets not changed in surf shack----board in walkway to dock needs replacing---- Kids loved surf shack---dock was good--canoe and paddle boat were nice.

  Owner response: Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We pride ourselves on providing a vacation home where guests can relax and enjoy their stay. We have addressed all concerns brought to our attention. • Carpet in master bedroom has been replaced. • Grill has been replaced. • Cleaning service has been asked to perform a re-check in the future in order to make sure that no items are left in the dryer. • Refrigerator has been fixed. • Cleaning service was informed about the sheet in the Surf Shack, then assured us the linens were laundered prior to your arrival, but we apologize in any event. • All warped boards in walkway to the dock have been replaced. Thank you again for staying with us and for taking the time to let us know how we can make our future guest’s stay even better. We are glad that your kids loved the surf shack and that you were able to take advantage of our canoe, paddle boat, and our other amenities!

  A few of us needed to be in Hartwell for the weekend and this house far exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend staying here. The pedal boat was fun and swimming in the small cove was very relaxing.

  Hi, we had 4 adults and 6 children and it was perfect!! Everything was cleaned and neat!! There is so much room in this home and we loved the TIKI...great for kids. The lake is awesome, we had the perfect cove and alot of privacy. Loved this placed!! And Lisa is great to work with!! I can't wait to come again next year.

  We just returned home from a week @ Lake Hartwell and really enjoyed the house and surf shack. The house was very "homey" and comfortable - rooms plenty big enough and the surf shack was great for the teenagers! Swimming off the dock was great- cove is QUIET... actually the whole lake was quiet during our stay so we really enjoyed boating and tubing. The guys did a fishing charter one night & caught a good amount of BIG fish that we fileted and ate during the week. Highly recommend renting "Hartwell Heaven & the SURF SHACK"

  We are already planning our return to Hartwell Heaven & Surf Shack. Lisa has left no detail undone… from the beautiful decor, lush bedding and fabulous lake views you will not want to leave. I have vacationed in North Georgia for over 15 years and rented many homes through VRBO and this by far was the BEST!!! It is like renting two homes for the price of one, the Surf Shack provides hours of entertainment for the kids in turn giving the adults their own quite time in the main house. You will also be amazed by Lisa’s artistry in the mosaic mirrors and other decor throughout.

  I would describe Hartwell Heaven as a perfect place to stay with family and friends. We stayed for a week four adults and five children ages 15-9. The kids loved having their own space in the Surf Shack and the adults enjoyed the peace and quite of the main house. We rented a pontoon boat and enjoyed the beautiful lake. In the afternoons we cooked on the grill and enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. The house has everything you need. Games, books, cooking supplies (pots,pans, ect), wireless internet, TV's, and enough water toys for everyone. Lisa (owner) is really helpful and kind she made our stay perfect. I wish we were there now.

  Our family has had several wonderful vacations at Hartwell Heaven and the Surf Shack. The house is charming, with plenty of room for everyone. It is comfortably furnished and has every amenity you could want. We love the fire pit and the beautiful grounds. The unique decor in the surf shack really gives you the feeling of a tropical vacation. Adults and children love it. We highly recommend this house for your vacation.

  If you are looking for the perfect place to spend time with family and friends, this IS IT! Our group has now visited 3 times. This is now a tradition for us which we hope to continue moving forward. The home is warm, inviting, spacious, and clean. The beds are comfortable and there is plenty of space in the main house. The "shack" is marvelous for kids of all ages. The property is beautiful and relaxing. Lisa (the owner) and her family are wonderful to work with. Simply cannot say enough positive things - go, you will not be disappointed! On second thought, no don't go.....then it might be booked when we want to go again!
