I'm a frequent visitor of Puerto Vallarta, and I normally stay in a big beachfront resort. This time I wanted to try something different. I was recommended Rivera Del Rio by a friend, and was very pleased with my overall experience! I loved the decor!! It is a very fun place! The rooftop pool was great, and the hot tub gives you an amazing view of the city and hills. The staff was very attentive, and the go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your stay. I highly recommend this place!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.

The hotel is locacted in a cultural part of Old Vallarta facing the river and the mountains. The view from the rooftop pool and spa was amazing in the evening, seeing the citylights and action come to life. There are several walking areas nearby, and the new addition of the stairs that take you directly to Grincho Gulch was a great way to start the day, as the yoga studio we went to was only 10 minutes away. The staff in the hotel were very very accommodating and willing to assist with any request. The stay at the hotel can be whatever you want in your vacation as the beds are heavenly and provide a great nights sleep after a long night or after a day in the sun. We truly loved the location as it was a quiet location but yet still close to everything that one would need to complete their vacation. Having the staff provide us with a fresh daily breakfast was an added bonus as well as on New Years Eve we requested for staff to prepare us a meal which was remarkable !!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, sightseeing, adventure seekers.

I stayed here for a month while attending yoga teacher training in Puerto Vallarta. I could not be more pleased. I felt like I was in Venice, Italy. The decor and building is what you imagine in your dreams. The staff is unbelievably friendly and helpful. It is right on a beautiful flowing river and minutes walking distance from the beach. It is in a wonderful location. I walked everywhere. The rooms in the hotel are unimaginable. Everything is magnificently done, from the detailed paintings on the walls, to the unique bathrooms and tubs. I will definitely go back to this hotel. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Puerto Vallarta, in a heart beat!Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, sightseeing, romantic getaway, adventure seekers.
