Enjoy magnificent sunsets and refreshing sea breezes, sitting on the tastefully furnished front porch, or large open deck, of this three-level custom cottage overlooking glorious Casco Bay.

Completed in 2000, the cottage is situated on eight acres of nature's glory, and offers four bedrooms, each with their own full baths, large open living and dining rooms, sunroom, and fully equipped, gourmet kitchen.

You will love the peace, quiet, and very private property, where the deer and fox will play on the one acre grassy front lawn. Take a walk down the meandering driveway to the private beach, where you can sun, swim, shell and fish.

Hop a ferry on the Casco Bay Lines, into Portland for museums, galleries, shopping, dining, and more. Freeport is just a twenty-five minute ride from Portland. Discover the way life use to be at sea view, Long Island, Maine!

  • Ahhhh, Maine, the way life should be...Our family has been coming to CView now for several years and the most difficult day of our vacation is the day we have to leave. CView and Long Island are pure heaven. Most of the time we don't even want to leave the island, yet we know that Portland is a wonderful small cultural city to explore. This wonderful "cottage by the sea" is beautifully decorated and wonderfully equipped with anything you could possibly want or need. The privacy and quiet is just what we need to unwind and appreciate this bit of time we have. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us, and we all look forward to returning next year.   • What can I say - total relaxation. This is a kick back, leave all your problems on the mainland kind of living. I've had the pleasure of being an "Island Girl" several times and never get tired of the scenic beauty and peace all around. Of course, the house is spectacular with everything you could ask for. If it's in your own home, it's probably at C-view. This is a perfect family vacation or get your best girlfriends together and experience togetherness and sheer bliss.   • This past summer, 2006, my son, my four grandchildren and I enjoyed our fourth season at the cView. The property and home are spectacular. The home has lots of room, is situated in a peaceful setting, attractively decorated and surrounded by nature - clearly everything one looks for in a vacaton spot. The proximity to Portland allows day trips to many of Maine's intrigng spots with a peaceful ferry ride back to cView - our beautiful vacation home each night. My grandchildren love it and are anxious to return to our summer retreat this coming year. Truly it is the "perfect" vacation spot. Tom Bauer

  • Staying at CView is like a spa-experience... soothing balm to the spirit. I felt surrounded by the beauty of this home and the natural vistas out each window spectacular! It doesn't get much better than sitting on the porch sipping wine and reading a good book while seeing the waterview or sleeping in the wonderful "themed" bedrooms. The attention to detail is evident from the decor to the small luxuries and homey touches. The Island people welcome you like their own as you explore the wonder of the island and the sunsets at the pier breathtaking!

  • Without a doubt the best vacation spot in Maine! The house is immaculate, the property expansive, and the setting just absolutely perfect! C-View is a great getaway for families of all sizes. Our family of four sons always finds plenty to do with activities like exploring the woods, searching for sea glass on the beach in front of the house, playing ping pong … the list goes on. The home’s amenities -- all five-star -- include a big-screen plasma TV with satellite and huge DVD collection, large spacious kitchen and a sitting room a spectacular view of the bay to wind down or just take an afternoon nap. We cannot wait to go again. Summer 2007 will be our fourth time running!!

  • We had the most magical wedding at your home and I just had to write and tell you what a perfect setting this was for this most memorable occasion. We were married on the beach and then everyone walked to CView for the reception. My husband and I were led by an island bagpiper to the yard that was transposed into a fairytale setting. My family and bridesmaids stayed in your home and we loved the quiet and peaceful serenity that one normaly would not have with a wedding of 150 people. The islanders were so helpful too...we had our rehearsal dinner at the Chestnut Hill B&B, and ended up renting 6 other homes to house our guests from out of state. I know my husband and I will always treasure the memories we shared that day and hope to return every year for our anniversary. Thank you for making my BIG day so beautiful. Aran Rushing and Family

  • Your beautiful island home proved to be just the right spot for our family reunion. All of us had our own bedroom and bath, and all of the amenities you provided made us feel so at home. We loved the privacy of your "estate" overlooking the Casco Bay, and the children were totally entranced with watching the deer, the foxes at play, and of course playing at the private beach. There was so much to do on this small little island off the coast of Portland, yet we all totally enjoyed just relaxing on the porch with a good book, or playing pingpong, badminton or croquet and horseshoes, and of course we all enjoyed the lobster we had almost daily!
