Additionally, there is a large family room that can accommodate another 4 guests - perfect space for two families with kids. We stayed at this home for a week with 4 young kids and family. It was a perfect place for kids and adults alike. The open kitchen/living room downstairs feels just like a mountain house should with plenty of space for a large party of people to relax by the fire after a day of skiing. This relaxation can then be topped off by an outdoor hut tub. The third floor is a perfect place for the kids to escape and play. It's location, only 15 minutes from both Winter Park and Mary Jane, allowed us to easily do a 1/2 day skiing and then come home to sled or snowshoe in the afternoon. The moose like to hang around the area too which makes walks that much more fun. We loved our stay are hoping to make a tradition of coming here!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, pet owners.

I can't wait to go back to this house. We stayed here for a week with small children and friends and it was perfect. The house is designed very well. We loved the kitchen, the big dining room table, the hot tub, and sitting by the fire. There is fabulous hiking and cross country/skate skiing out the back door and Winter Park is only 15 min away. The beds are also really comfortable, which is nice after a day of skiing the bumps at Mary Jane.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing, families with young children.

The house is so comfortable. Perfect for large groups. The main floor is perfect for everyone hanging out together around the fireplace, eating meals together, and socializing. The loft upstairs provides great get away space to play games, use the pool table, and catch some of the best views from the house. We were lucky enough to have 2 moose come by and hang out around the property a couple of mornings. Also, we got to catch a couple of foxes traveling through to the open space at Devil's Thumb Ranch. The house feels secluded and has so much space I never wanted to leave. The hot tub was my favorite part of the house for relaxing. We were so close to Winter Park that we went skiing in the mornings and spent the rest of the day hanging out at the house. While walking the scenic areas nearby we spotted beautiful cross country trails that we will have to check out on our next visit. We will definitely be staying there again.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

House has wonderful feel on main floor. High, high ceilings and open room with kitchen, counter, dining table, living room and fireplace make this perfect for families and groups vacationing together.....Oh and there's a hot tub just outside the door. Second floor is 3 large BR's and master BR suite. 3rd floor is huge open space for whatever use you want. There is a pool table. House is maybe quarter mile from back entrance to Devils Thumb Ranch. With pass/tickets they have huge cross-country ski (or snowshoe/hike) trail system, including warming huts. Winter Park/Mary Jane ski slopes are a short drive considering how "country" the house location is....maybe 10 minutes. Market and restaurants are even closer. House is immaculate. It's not luxurious in style and character is western rural or lodge-like; perfectly comfortable.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children.
