Whether you want the beach, a pool, restaurants, or to cook your meals this place is perfect. 2-3 blocks to the beach and great restaurants. People are so friendly and I felt so safe in the area - even walking alone at night. The condo is gorgeous. It's clean, fully stocked with laundry facilities in the unit, and everything you need. Lots of room for the entire family, great views if the mountainside from the balcony, Canadian TV, wifi and even local and North America calling for free. What hotel can you get that at? The pool area was far superior to any resort. Quiet, comfy chairs, umbrellas for shade, sitting areas partially covered, tables to enjoy and outdoor meal and of course AMAZING views of Bandaras Bay. Even saw whales splashing and playing one day. Oh and I can't forget the sunsets. Absolutely stunning. I'm usually a cruiser and hate all inclusive resorts. This was the perfect blend. Did a few excursions close by (taxis are cheap), ate where we wanted and when we wanted and walked to great shopping and beaches. No schedule made condo vacationing worth while. I plan to go back again and maybe for longer. Or more often. Thanks for such a great vacation. I think I'm now in love with PV.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: We are so glad that you enjoyed your time with Natasha and her family in our vacation home. Maybe next time we will be able to share a little more time together over a frozen margherita in one of your newly discovered favorite restaurants. Look forward to having you back.

Harvey was fantastic in managing the rental process and very helpful every step along the way. This was our first time travelling to PV for vacation and Harvey was also a wealth of information on things to do in the area. Check-in and out was very smooth and thorough. The condo is HUGE, so much room to lounge and relax in. No one gets in each others hair when you can all have you room to chill out in. It is beautifully decorated and has an amazing kitchen. The kitchen has more gadgets and tools then my own kitchen back home. Just amazing - we did not lack for anything during our stay. This unit is also walking distance from EVERYTHING you could ever want to do. And if you walk for hours, its only about a $5-$10 cab ride back. Central location made this vacation very enjoyable. Because the condo is set back on Manuel M Dieguez vs fronting on Basilo Badillio it also meant it was very quiet in the unit and on the balconies despite the hustle and bustle on the other side of the block. This was a very pleasant surprise. The roof was incredible and the photos do not do it justice - amazing salt water pool and always room to lounge. It was never crowded on the roof during our stay and we stayed over Easter and American March Break. There is also a BBQ on the roof that can be booked for lovely meals overlooking the city. The maid did an excellent job of cleaning and it was a luxury to have laundry on-site. We WAY over-packed considering we could just wash clothes in the condo. The vonage and wifi worked perfectly during our stay and we had no issues with TV (didn't watch it much). Our favourite spots to eat close by: Fajita Republic and the Fish Shack (two for one mojitos!). Don't forget to find the churro stand - we had an adventure trying to find it :) We can't wait to find the time to come and stay again. Thank you Harvey and Chris for sharing your vacation home with us.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thanks for the amazing review. We truly enjoy it when we hear comments like yours that reflect the pride of ownership that we have in our property. You and your family are welcome back at any time.

Harvey was great in arranging our visit. It was a bit of a splurge with just two of us staying there, but so well worth it. I've been to PV 8 or 9 times and these are the best accommodations hands down. CHECK-IN - They were right there to greet us and so helpful with getting us set up. If you have any issues, they are quick to take care of things. The ice maker didn't work for a couple of days (we could have cared less) and they were way more worried about getting it fixed that we were. THE PLACE: SO MUCH ROOM! I was excited by the pictures, but you have to see it to believe it. Large bedrooms, fabulous bathrooms (and the extra 1/2 bath was a great extra), 2 sitting areas w/ pull out beds (great because we had a friend join us for 5 days), kitchen with everything you would need and a dining room table built for entertaining (we so wanted to have a dinner party of 10) and a great patio for that evening cocktail. I can't believe the quality and decor package for a rental; truly amazing. It seems weird commenting on lighting for a vaca rental, but it too was amazing - everything dims and has a magical glow. The cool breezes at night are great; only used the AC a couple of times. LOCATION: We didn't step into a cab except to/from the airport. Great walking everywhere! Different restaurants every night; easy walk to the beach, even easier walk to the nightlife! In the middle of everything, yet just far enough off that you don't get any of the noise. You don't miss having a place right on the beach at all!!! COMMUNICATIONS: Unfortunately I had to work some while on vaca, so the Vonage line for calls to the US and the great working WiFi were perfect. Thanks Harvey . . . I can't wait to stay at this place again!!!Recommended for: Tourists without a car.
Owner response: Hi Troy: Your 2 weeks in Puerto Vallarta seemed to have come and gone very quickly. It is very exciting for us as owners to hear that you enjoyed our vacation home and location as much as we do. When we designed the furniture and finishings, we wanted a home that was warm, comfortable and inviting, which seems to be the way you viewed it LOL. Cozy for 1700 s.f.! We look forward to having you return again next year.....or before if you like. Harvey & Chris

We could tell from the pictures that it was a beautiful place, but it exceeded all hopes. The owner was very helpful in getting us set up, answering questions, etc. The listing was very complete in outlining everything there was to know about the apartment, and it was all true. New, clean, modern. PV is very compact and noisy, but the location is just on the edge. You know you are in a city, but protected from the loudest traffic noise. Plus, the unit is fairly soundproof. We had 4 days by ourselves, then joined by another couple. Plenty of room for either togetherness or privacy. Wonderful ammenities, the lighting was fabulous, the kitchen called out for having a dinner party. The master bed is the best ever. Great view to the mountain, patio was great for coffee in the morning and coctails in the evening. Too sunny in the day, but I suspect as the sun moves further north in the spring and summer, it will be perfect. The saturday farmers market is just there, 1/2 block away, and not to be missed. Also the Saturday market at the community center was great. The owner has provided a book outlining directions for the apartment and good nearby restaurants. We walked everywhere, thus I managed not to gain weight even though I ate everything in sight. All in all, a great experience and worthy splurge. I definitely would go again. MB, Horseshoe Bay TexasOwner response: Being in the heart of Zona Romantica and not being hammered by the sounds of the local night clubs is definitely one of the benefits that we enjoy about our vacation home. We are able to leave the sliding glass doors open all night and not be bombarded by the sounds of the clubs.

I spent an inordinate amount of time looking for a suitable rental for a last minute trip to PV. As soon as I saw the specs for PV's most stylist and modern condo complex - V399 - I pulled out all the stops in the hope that we'd find a suitable and affordable rental in the complex. Harvey - the co-owner of Vida - was generous with his time, answering emails within the day and happy to answer text or phone call with answers to my questions. We felt rather spoiled when he arranged for one of the property managers - Armando - to meet us on arrival. (Wish we'd have tapped this lovely chap for more information on restaurants and activities). However beautiful the photos or this Penthouse are, and they are beautiful, I was totally unprepared for the level of luxury that awaited us inside. This is a relatively new and modern unit, it has all the lavish comfort that one might expect of a 5* Resort. Unlike those resorts though, Vida truly feels like your home for the time you're there! The rooms are massive, the entire place was spotlessly clean throughout. I'm a big cook, and the kitchen is the best stocked I've even seen in a holiday rental. (I'm loathed to say, it was a little wasted on me, but hey I was on holiday!) The bedrooms were are equipped with an array of beautiful furnishings that again add a homely touch. Bathrooms are spacious and well designed and the showers in particular are huge and the shower itself was luxurious to say the least! The verandas offer an enchanting view of the southern hillsides of PV. Although we were out everyday doing various activities, Whale-watching, water taxis and hiking along the coasts, Botanic Gardens - easily reached by the myriad of buses that pick up and drop off only a block away - we took great delight watching the dusk and the bats and hawks circle over town from the verandas. Truly blissful. The rooftop pool and jacuzzis are sensational, and feel truly 5-star! The infinity pool - saline filtered so no red-eye - is a sight to behold and easily one of the best features of V399. I challenge anyone to not feel like they're on vacation bobbing in this pool and looking out onto old PV. Loungers are somewhat limited but a little patience guaranteed us a spot every afternoon. Although we didn't take advantage of it, the outdoor kitchen was popular for larger groups. Next time me thinks! In short, one of the extraordinary holiday homes one could ever wish for! Thank you Harvey and Chris for sharing such a place!Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway.

Vallarta Vida is in perfect spot in the Zona Romantica spot of PV. It is a short walk to just about everything such as the beaches and male con, with some really good restaurants just a few steps away. With its location in the center of town you would expect some noise, it is surprisingly quiet while sitting out enjoying the views from any of the balconies. This place has all the amenities and has been decorated beautifully, giving it quite the wow factor. I will definitely be coming back here on my next visit to pv.Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, age 55+, romantic getaway.

Booked an appt. to view the condo in anticipation of our next trip to Puerto Vallarta. Right at Basillio Badillo and L. Vallarta, you could not ask for a better location. Away for the noisy touristy areas of the beach hotels and condos, yet only 3 blocks to the beach and so unbelievably close to all of our favorite eating and drinking haunts, and the boutiques and shops in the Romantica Zone. With 2 outdoor patios, a family room and a living room, the spaciousness of the condo with its 12' ceilings would ensure I would never feel like I was on top of or in the way of my partner and other guests staying in the condo with us. Private space and time are important to us. The furnishing and finishings are colorful, tasteful and most of all comfortable. The roof top deck and the amenities, which includes a heated salt walter infinity pool and 360 degree views are amazing. We are not beach people and know we would spend most of our time basking in this little bit of paradise. Congrats on the new condo, Harvey & Chris. It is at the top of our list for 2013-2014. Happy New Year and all the best in 2013,Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

About the owner: We are both professionals, born and raised in Toronto, and enjoying life as it should be enjoyed with children, grandchildren, extended family and friends. We own and love our warm comfortable home in the heart of the city and truly enjoy all of the amenities that are so easily accessible to us. Our home in Puerto Vallarta is a reflection of our Toronto life style and enjoyment which we would like to share with others. If you are looking for a very special home for your escape, either alone or with family and/or friends, you do not need to look further. You have found it with us.
Why the Owner Chose Romantic Zone:
If there's one street in Zona Romantica that's made for shoppers, it's Basilio Badillo found between Pino Suárez and Insurgentes.
Discover this local secret where you can find the very best in art, the most captivating jewelry (Cielito Lindo and A Touch of Gold), great clothes, scarves and handbags (Que Mona), lovely manta and colorful talavera and so much more.
This street has always had the moniker “Restaurant Row” since, even to this day, you won’t go hungry on Basilio Badillo. Popular places, ethnic eateries, local comidas corridas (with a daily menu at a low price), bakeries, seafood and meat, it’s all there.
Take your time to explore this trendy neighborhood. You may find yourself coming here time and again. No taxis needed unless you are venturing off for a major excursion.
From Vallarta 399, you are 3 blocks to Los Muertos Beach and the Malecon, where you can enjoy a leisurely stroll along the ocean to the newer part of PV.
Here are a few quotes selected from Trip Advisor that reflect our sentiments about Zona Romantica.
...“There is a special spirit in the air, which will add something special into your heart. Well .. everywhere :-)” ...
“I love this area of Puerto Vallarta. It is the funky & eclectic area that many visitors miss. It is a MUST SEE area of town, Easily walk-able, safe and full of great restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping, galleries, beach bars, you name it.... it is all here. Great hotels and vacation rentals... so you will not even have to take a taxi to get to cool places. Come and explore the coolest area of Puerto Vallarta.”...
“This place is like New Orleans French Quarter. During the day it's bustling with workers and the business of the city. At night, the lights give it an atmosphere that lends to romantic walks and visits to restaurants and bars you may have missed during the day.”
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The roof top terrace and with its amazing amenities and mesmerizing views feels like an extension of our home being accessible within less than 1 minute by way of 1 flight of stairs or an elevator ride. Our WIFI is often available on the rooftop.
Walk out the door and you are on a street with no inclines.
