If your idea of a vacation spot is one with a view, you can't beat this one. Enjoy a cup of coffee every morning from our deck, a walk along the white sand beach during the day; beautiful sunsets and a campfire at night. The cottage is located on a low bluff, with just a few steps down to the beach.
Living room and dining room overlook the lake. We have a full kitchen and a wonderful wood-burning brick fireplace in the living room. The patio is lakeside and provides wonderful outside dining. Two bedrooms downstairs, one with a queen bed and one with four twins (bunk bed can be detached). Full bathroom downstairs. Upstairs has a bedroom with a queen bed and half bath. A back deck off the kitchen overlooks the woods and provides a charcoal grill.

Year Purchased: 2001
About the owner: This is our family cottage. We are from Grand Rapids and enjoyed the cottage as our two children were growing up. The kids have fond memories of playing on the beach, kayaking, and campfires. As they have moved on in their lives and we get to visit less often, we decided to invite others to enjoy everything the cottage and the area has to offer.
Why the Owner Chose Shelby:
We bought this cottage when our children were small in order to get away and have some quality time. The short distance from our home made it possible to run up for a week or a weekend.
The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
You can't find a better place for sunsets. My husband and I prefer them from our patio with a glass of wine. Our kids prefer the time after sunset when campfires and s'mores are a must. My husband and I still go up for a quiet weekend of bike riding or kayaking; or leaf viewing followed by a good roaring fire.
