Enjoy a wonderful mountain retreat at this log cabin situated on fifteen acres with great views, plenty of outdoor living areas, hiking trail to the pristine headwaters of the Yadkin River, and beautiful waterfalls. This cabin offers quiet, natural beauty and privacy, yet is just minutes from all that the Blowing Rock region offers.
The house is constructed with eight inch round logs from the North Carolina Mountains. The living room has a vaulted ceiling, beautiful dry stacked stone fireplace, and cozy seating area. The indoor living area opens to a huge covered porch, and outdoor living area, so it is easy to enjoy the good times and fresh mountain air in a spacious setting. Enjoy the top-of-the-line kitchen, heart pine floors, exposed logs, and inviting mountain decor throughout. There are two bedrooms upstairs, and a bedroom / bunk house, with four sets of hand made rough hewn, extra long beds, downstairs. There is a full bath upstairs, and a full bath downstairs, and an outdoor shower that is perfect for enjoying the sunset, or greeting a mountain morning. One of the upstairs bedrooms has a queen-bed, the second has a double-bed.
Blowing Rock is a quaint village with an abundance of excellent restaurants, antique shops, and festivals. The Blue Ridge Parkway is nearby offering scenic drives, great hikes, mountain biking, and horseback riding opportunities. Skiing is available within minutes at Appalachian Ski Mountain, and there is a pool, and tennis courts in town.
Seasonally, Tweetsie Railroad and Mystery Hill, are open for children's' entertainment. Grandfather Mountain is about thirty-five minutes away, and has the Mile High Swinging Bridge, and zoo. Appalachian State University is located about fifteen miles away in Boone, N. C. The Westglo Spa is also nearby. Golf courses and horseback riding are available minutes away.
