This cabin was exactly as described. It was the perfect place to relax at the end of our days. The cabin was comfortable & very well supplied, right down to the fresh grapefruit off the tree! We were centrally located to the numerous attractions we visited - the plantations, Avery Island, Grand Isle and more. A great big thanks goes to the owners for all the help & information they gave us - from helping us arrange a bayou tour to providing us with maps. We found the people of Louisiana welcoming and would love to go back for a visit.

What a perfect get-a-way! From the cozy bungalow (that provides play space and bedroom accommodations for the kids upstairs) to a private drive, incredible hosts and overall lovely property, this location is ideal. We enjoyed the serenity found having breakfast on the patio as well as taking in the night sky's star show from the rocking chairs on the porch. And what a great surprise to have a fully furnished kitchen, excellent selection of books, awesome sound system and a washer & dryer at our disposal! We still cannot decide what was most wonderful about the bathroom: the tremendous amount of space, the wrap-around-you plush towels or the deep antique claw-foot tub! This place is an excellent destination and we are already making plans for a return visit!

About the owner: We are Louisiana natives with a love of history and tradition. We moved to this area 25 years ago because we wanted to return to our South Louisiana roots, customs, people, and lifestyle.
Why the Owner Chose Baton Rouge:
The 5 acre property on which the cabin is located is adjacent to historic Bayou Lafourche. It has been a wonderful, safe place to raise our children and to be part of a community of people that is family oriented, friendly, and welcoming.
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
The tranquility of this charming dwelling is perfect for a romantic get away. A great day starts with waking up to a brilliant sunrise over the cane fields in the privacy of the back of the property and ends with an astounding colorful sunset sky viewed from the front porch; in between the day can be filled with good people, good food, and sightseeing and touring the great culture steeped in history and stories.
