Tucked away on a quiet street in the village of Montmartre in Paris's 18th district, this charming one-bedroom apartment is a tranquil location from which to embark on your Parisian holiday.
The apartment is located in a real Parisian neighborhood in a 19th century residential building. You are within a 15 minutes walk of Paris's famed Montmartre sites and the energy of the cafes, restaurants and boutiques crowding the picturesque streets that surround Sacre Coeur Cathedral.
Tall French windows in the living room and bedroom open from this bright flat onto the building's inner courtyard, eliminating the distraction of street noises.
The apartment is an inviting haven that will be a peaceful retreat after a long day of sightseeing. Everything has been carefully chosen to delight the eye and better accommodate our guests.
The spacious master bedroom is furnished with a large queen-size bed. The calm coziness of the room make sleeping in a pleasure though we hope you will go out and enjoy all Paris has to offer. A corner fireplace adorns the bedroom. A large armoire provides plenty of space to store your belongings.
The living room has a sofa bed, that can either convert to two single beds or to one double bed. Our wall to wall bookcase holds a DVD player and flat screen TV. We have provided a selection of DVDs as well as cable television with international channels to help you unwind after a long day of site-seeing. The storage unit in the bookcase also provides additional space for those sleeping in the living to store their belongings.
Stay connected via the internet with our high speed connection. We also have provided a Mac computer for your use but you can also connect your own laptop to our wireless network.
A small dining area separates the living room from the kitchen. The table can be expanded on both sides to give plenty of room to happy diners.
Our custom-built open kitchen (designed by our architect Vianney Deffontaines and carpenter, Gautier Deffontaines), is both classy and efficient, with its granite countertop and beautiful wood finish. We have installed a washer/dryer for your convenience and a combination microwave/oven. All that you will need to make a scrumptious meal is provided for you.
This is a perfect place to go shopping "à la française". Going from the cheese shop to the butcher and to the green grocer is an intricate part of French tradition- one that survives to this day though we have plenty of one-stop supermarkets. The apartment's location is within a short distance of rue Damremont's boutiques, "fromageries" (cheese shops), "boulangeries" (bakeries), and "patisseries" (pastry shops). It is also close to avenue St. Ouen's outdoor food market, making it a pleasurable starting point for those of you who are "foodies". Whether you choose to prepare your meals yourself or to partake of the many restaurant offerings, you can be sure to find your heart's desire in this neighborhood. Savor the possibilities! |
