Had a wonderful relaxing stay away from it all. Brilliant, and most particularly if you love getting out on to the water. House and gardens were fantastic with all the facilities you could wish for and a brilliant pool area. Most generous of hosts too. And if you don't know the area - this is crab capital of the world! Other than Walberswick (over here in the UK), of course... Loverly area and within easy reach of all the fun and excitement of DC.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 7/8

My family and a friend stayed at the Cottage for a week in September. The weather was wonderful. The cottage was very clean when we got there. There are 3 bedrooms- two large bedrooms and one smaller "kids" room. It is a great set up for a family with young kids because the smaller room is attached to the larger bedroom. If it's 3 adults, it still works b/c there are a separate set of stairs from the kitchen to the smaller room if you need private access. They have baby gates, playpen, highchair, and life jackets available for kids. They have pool floats for the adults. We cooked there each night and the grill and kitchen were great. They have anything you need to cook in the kitchen. There are two outdoor tables where we had most of our meals. The only complaint I have is that there is no screened in porch and there are lots of bugs!! We did pick up some OFF defogger and used that outside and it seemed to help. Other than that we had a great time. The town is within a 15 min walk or 2 min drive. I walked to town with my son each morning. Overall I would recommend the location to a family with young children or 2-3 couples.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

This property is very nice, back from the road, and quiet. The house couldn't have been more comfortable, and everything was there that was needed. We spent the weekend just relaxing, although we did make it into town one day. Having the pool was a plus, as the weather it did warm up. Thank you for sharing such a nice house.Recommended for: Girls getaway, romantic getaway.

This is a perfect spot for a family vacation. Do not hesitate to enjoy your holiday. The pool is such a delightful extra and so private. Clean home and well equiped for all your needs. Family and child friendly. Rooms upstairs set up for parent and children privacy. Total enjoyment for our family of three but could handle a few more. So glad we had the experience and would go back again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Our family of four, including two children, one a teenager and one 29, stayed for three nights. It's a very comfortable cottage, very secluded and far enough off the road to be private. The back is great, including what appears to be a new pool, a hammock, and a dock with kayaks available. The views up and down the cove it's on are lovely. There are enough large trees around for shade and enough open areas for sun. There was a nice gas grill along with candles and an outside fireplace. The cottage is simple but elegant, neat and clean. There are three bedrooms, but for one, in what was formerly an attic, you had to enter another room to get to the upstairs bathroom. The appliances were fine, the televisions were pretty decent with a good number of old movies around to choose from. My chief criticism is the air conditioning which is by window units. Several were loud and it was pretty tough to get the temperature in the third bedroom down to comfortable levels. A great location, just out of town, a stone's throw from the Inn at Perry Cabin and the town's golf course community. It took only a couple of minutes' drive to get into the heart of town and easy to get out and about towards Tilghlman Island. It was, all in all, a great few days and a place we would go back to again.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers.
