Luxury Sea-View Villa in Koh Jum, Krabi, Metres from the Beach
- Minimum stay:3-5 nights
- Internet:Yes
- Pets allowed:No
- Wheel chair accessible:Yes
You've already been captivated by the story of Koh Jum Beach Villas, with its commitment to balancing world-class luxury with a sincere respect for the island's natural environment and its local people.
Now we'd like to welcome you to
Baan Nanachaat – “International House”
We’ve spent more than 40 years living in exotic lands, embracing the customs of the people of the South Pacific, Africa and the Far East, and we’ve collected artifacts and traditions from all corners of the globe. You’ll feel right at home amongst the adventure stories that Baan Nanachaat whispers…
Bring your extended family, surprise your spouse and the kids, or finally decide it’s time to treat just the two of you – the flexibility of Baan Nanachaat’s floor-plan provides you with the challenge of deciding just how much you want to share!
You’ll pinch yourself as you wander through its 180 square meters of tropical living space – the spacious, open-plan areas with soaring cathedral ceilings, the three breezy bedrooms totaling accommodation for 4-6 people (each with its own lavish ensuite). A few more guests can quite comfortably be included, depending on your group’s make-up.
Picture waking up in your king-size four-poster teak bed, gazing out at the privacy of your own botanical gardens: coconut palms, fruit trees, tropical hardwoods and an abundance of flowering species, including many of Thailand’s famous orchids. And just beyond the teak and glass folding doors lining one whole wall of this enchanting room lies the sparkling Andaman Sea, just 50 meters away. Eventually, you’ll decide to freshen up in the master suite’s Bali shower -- rainwater cascading down on you in your private, open-air alcove, complete with a stag horn fern within reach in the palm tree above!
The rest of your family will stir in one of two other guest suites, one with a king – and a single-bed combination, and the other with one queen-size bed and a single. The single beds are ideal for children, or perhaps for use as daybeds, as guests read and lounge with the tropical breeze flowing through the expansive spaces.
The day’s only challenge will be to decide whether to spend the day around the KJBV grounds (shall we order another fresh pineapple smoothie before we walk along the virtually deserted expanse of crystal-white sand?) or to venture out to explore the island (maybe on KJBV’s complimentary bicycles?).
Or…you may simply decide to stay in. Baan Nanachaat’s full-size kitchen is stocked with everything you need to whip up your own island feast, and you can enjoy it together around our Thai-style dining table. Pull up one of the comfy lounges and dream the day away on one of the verandahs, listening to the tropical birds, or perhaps watching one of the giant local hermit crabs amble along under the balcony. Play backgammon, or borrow a DVD from the communal library. You’ll certainly put a moratorium on checking your email, but the resort’s free wireless keeps you in touch, should you need to tell everyone back at the office that you might be back a few days later than expected…
Koh Jum Beach Villas provides a rare experience these days: a chance to check in and check out, an opportunity for a real get-away that you and your family will never forget.
We welcome you to our family’s slice of heaven. We hope you’ll make your own memories here. And we look forward to your return visit to Baan Nanachaat.

Dear Owners of Baan Nanachat - (International House) What an ideal haven you have here! Your home is beyond comfortable, and so beautifully designed and decorated -- it's set in the grounds of an island paradise. We were happy to see your villa lived up to the photos on your website, except they can't reproduce the delicious tropical floral smells, the gentle, warm breezes, and the sounds of the birds! The staff and management went to such effort to ensure our stay was all we could hope for; thank you to them for all the personal touches! We got to know them quite well, and were charmed by their friendliness and sincere desire to "make it happen" -- whatever we asked them for! Our teenage girls had lots to do -- swam every day, snorkelled, went scuba diving (organised by the on-site diving office), went bike riding and motorcycling riding, walked along the beach, watched DVDs. They're clamouring to come back. The only challenge was having to leave...we talked about wishing we could own such a bit of paradise ourselves so we could come back more often. Are the villas ever for sale? We will rave about KJBV, and especially Baan Nanachat, and we WILL be back -- we're talking about a return trip with another family. Can't wait!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

Our family stayed in Baan Nanachaat at Koh Jum Beach Villa Resort for a family reunion this past year. All three of our families went and we had a fantastic time enjoying the luxury villa and beautiful surrounding grounds of the resort. The water was perfect for snorkeling and we had lovely sunsets almost every night with spectacular views of the Andaman Sea. The villa was a great place with room for all of us, kids and adults, to lounge around and enjoy our time together. It is beautifully decorated with interesting art from around the world. We can't wait to return! Thank you for a wonderful holiday.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.
