- The apartment is situated on Via di Ponziano at few meters from Viale trastevere. Rome can easily be explored from this large apartment, which is situated in an Art Deco building. Trastevere is still a favorite place of many artists, musicians and actors. Its magical atmosphere - which enriched by historic buildings and picturesque streets and squares in - will leave hardly anyone untouched. Tram no. 8 stops close to the apartment and takes you directly to Largo Argentina, the heart of the historical centre between Piazza Navona and Campo de’ Fiori, in only a few minutes. From this apartment you can reach the Forum Romanum, the Coliseum, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona in 5 minutes by tram followed by 5-15 minutes on foot....moreless

I only stayed here for two days, wish it could have been longer. The flat was perfect for my daughter, son-in-law, and 2 grandchildren. It was great to get away from the crowds - quiet neighborhood with good transportation to the subway and Termini. There's a grocery store within two blocks and some nice restaurants. The Trastevere rail station is within walking distance. Modern kitchen and a great designer bathroom with a sliding glass door - what a great design. Only con - no wi-fi which seems the norm in Rome. Highly recommend this property.

Very modern flat

We really enjoyed our stay at this flat in Trastevere. It was clean, spacious and had everything we needed. Flat owner, Fabio, met us when we arrived and went through the flat with us. He made sure everything was perfect and comfortable. We had our parents (77 and 84 yrs) stay with us and they were more than comfortable and was able to get in and up to the apartment and flat with ease. There was a small bakery and a cafe/bar in the same building right around the gate entry. There were a few more cafe bars, small meat, cheese and vegetable markets and a pharmacy right down the street on the main road where we picked up groceries for dining in. The train, trams and bus stops were a block away too, which made it easy going into town, the Fiumino airport or to Civitavechia with ease. We met Nicola, property manager, when she stopped by to drop off our gift basket (so worth having after traveling for over 15 hours) and the Wi-Fi box. Both Fabio and Nicola were very gracious and helpful with giving us tips about touring Rome and suggesting restaurants. The only suggestion we have is perhaps having a few small carpets on the bedroom and living room floors as they were pretty cold in the mornings. We would definitely stay again and refer our family and friends to staying here in their travels to Rome.

Why the Owner Chose Trastevere:
Because it's best place in Rome to live or to spend vacation. It's so quiet and in the center of the town and for me it was dream to walk in 'Trastevere'. And it's so charming and to come for airports there is Trastevere Rail Station (less than an 45 minutes ) and 5 mn by foot for the apartment. It's very easy to go everywhere in Rome.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment:
Why this apartment versus a hotel for a trip to Rome? Hotels in Rome are expensive and a 4 star hotel in Rome is closer to a 3 star hotel on international standards also with 20 million tourists pouring into Rome a year the service and quality is not always as one would expect. Also eating out 3 times a day can become very expensive. By having a base where you can prepare and eat quick inexpensive meals can mean huge savings. There are bakeries located within few minutes from the apartment and a supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Water is drinkable from the tap, however the apartment comes with a bottle of mineral water.
