The kids LOVED the loft and they spent a lot of time up there when we were in the cabin and not eating, We were all mesmerized with the wood stove...and boy does that put out some heat! Having two fire pits was great fun, and we finally roasted marshmallows outside when the weather wasn't too cold to stay out by the fire. We also spent a couple days utilizing the recreation center nearby - the indoor pool was amazing! And the kids enjoyed the miniature golf. We did go hiking by Carter's Lake - the cascading falls in the Ridgeway Recreation Area was pretty neat. I loved being unplugged...the only tv was upstairs in the loft and the kids didn't even turn it on. It was nice like being in a secluded rustic cabin, but we were minutes away from the recreation center for wireless or "cable tv" access if needed. The house was comfy and relaxing. We would definitely like to return at another time.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

We stayed here for a weekend. Owner had everything we needed there and more. He was very thoughtful about all of the supplies that we may have needed. I ended up forgetting my wallet and he was kind enough to mail to back to my friend. I definitely recommend this property on the owner kindness alone. The cabin was super cozy and the corner store was the cutest. It was nice to feel like we were away from everything but still be in a safe community. The maps in the second room were fun to look at, and the wood burning stove kept us nice and toasty all weekend. I will definitely be returning to this property!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The cabin was a nice little cabin. All the little things one might need were there. There is a ton of sleeping space and the loft was pretty awesome. Everything was clean and tidy.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

About the owner: We are a family of 4 plus our dog Banjo. We have used this as a weekend getaway for the past 7 years. Spent lots of days on Carters Lake, tubing down the Coosawattee River, nights in the hammock or the tents at the fire pit, or heading out to explore the mountains. It's been great for our family to come here and 'detox' from our daily grind... Just enjoy the surroundings and each other.

I am a kayaker, a hiker, a mountain biker... I always dreamed of having a cabin near my outdoor adventure playgrounds to run away to!
The Unique Benefits at this Cabin:
Just a great place to go relax or explore. Use it as a quiet getaway or a base camp for your North Georgia adventures. Tubing and Kayak trips leave from General Store less than 1 mile away. Cabin has 2 fire pits, wooded lot. Take a swim at the Rec Center, work out in the fitness room or play some tennis, basketball or mini golf. Fire up the gas grill on the porch or the charcoal grill at the lower fire pit. Stretch out in a hammock and relax! Or retreat from the cold by the indoor wood burning stove. A simple but clean and comfortable cabin with some charm.
