  Review copied from Yelp.com Affordable and Nice. I've stayed here twice. Once we rented the whole place for a family reunion and once I rented just their 2 bedroom portion. Cute, spacious, clean, awesome kitchen, and close to the slopes. One of the better places I've rented in Big Bear... great for small or large families. We walked around the neighborhood, played board games, stayed up late playing air hockey, and made good use of the sauna and hot tub. They even had a pack-n-play for my son, baby gate, and stroller.

  We recently stayed at the Big Bear lodge and had a great time. We were 20 people including 10 children under the age of 6. We got really lucky to get a full day of snow falling which made for a really awesome time for all. The house was clean and well maintained. The beds were not the most comfortable in the world, but we survived. We would definitely stay in this house again as it was very well located and comfortable for our needs.

  Amazing vacation property. We just had one of the most wonderful times with the entire family. This place is a blessing; it brought us together and closer. Could not be more grateful and happy, I would highly recommend this house and wouldn't mind renting it again. It was very comfortable and located close to all Big Bear amenities. We played cards and walked the neighborhood it was perfect. You have it so adequately equipped, great game room for the kids to keep them busy, wet bar for adults and lots of room for everyone. This cabin was a perfect fit for our large family gathering. Everything from top to bottom was clean and in great condition. You could tell walking into the house that it has been well taken care of. It had pretty much everything you would need to cook a good meal and have a good time with the family I also want to add that Laura the owner is a wonderful person to work with. She is so accommodating. If you have a nice size group this is the house that you should rent. Thank you for having us.

  We had a great time! The lodge is super cute and INCREDIBLY spacious. I was surprised at every turn there was another bedroom or living space. My boyfriend and I stayed in the front portion upstairs bedroom. It was far enough away from the main space that when the other couple's baby woke up, we couldnt hear a thing. We had access to the game room and our own bathroom and played late night pool without waking anyone else up. The lodge is close to town and the lake, everything we did was within a ten minute drive at best. We're already planning our next visit up during the summer, and if available, we'll be staying here again!

  This was better than we had expected. The cabin is furnished tastefully and includes accents of big bears overall feel. It is a warm, spacious and includes little luxuries such as the Sauna, and the pool table. We spent most of our time around the kitchen and living area which has an open floor plan and works great for a large group! The outdoor deck and bbq were also very nice. I will definitely be back and refer to all my friends!

  This was a nice house with many rooms to accommodate a large group. We've rented for 3 nights during Christmas season. The owner is very helpful. The house seems small outside but actually big inside with 5 bedrooms and many play areas. The kitchen area is quite small for large group. The house need to stock more kitchenware for large group. The location of sauna and Jacuzzi was a bit odd and inconvenience, but it is not bad. Overall, we are happy with the vacation at the house and will stay again.

  My family and I were looking for a place to get together for an early Christmas and we found the most magnificent place. From the first call to the last look back as we drove away, everything was perfect. Laura was the sweetest thing, and completely understanding of what we were looking for, and even helped me put together a special gift for my in-laws. After my return home everyone asked what I liked the most, and truthfully, I just can't decide. the view was beautiful, the accommodations were perfect with comfortable beds and plenty of room for everyone. The sauna was a wonderful place to relax and the kitchen was exactly what we needed to allow all the ladies to create our wonderful family dinner. My only regret other than we had to leave, is that it has taken so long for me to get this posted. Laura your place is spectacular and I can guarantee you have not seen the last of my family!

  Easy process to book the house. The landlord was great, easy to deal with. We Booked the entire house for New Years Eve for 3 nights. The house has all amenities you will need. 20 people fit in the house without any problems at all. Great place to go with a big family or group of friends. Defiantly booking this house again next time going to big bear.

  26 of us for a family get together over Halloween. I am so happy I paid the extra for this place. The sauna and hot tub were so great after a long day of hiking and drinking! There was plenty of space for everyone. I am already making reservations in January for a Board/ski trip! Laura was easy to work. Thank you for all the goodies and extras!

Cancellation policy:

Rental Rules* ADDRESS: 321 E Fairway Blvd Big Bear City, CA 92314. Phone: CHECK-IN TIME is AFTER 4 P.M. PST AND CHECKOUT is 10 A.M. PST. NO Early Check-in or late checkout. This is a NON SMOKING unit. PETS - PETS are permitted in rental units only with prior approval. $50 per pet fee applies. All pets must be leashed at all times. Pet owners are responsible for cleaning up any/all pet refuse. Pets are not allowed on furniture at any time. Any evidence of pets on furniture may incur extra cleaning fees. All pets must be up-to-date on rabies vaccinations and all other vaccinations. Heartworm prevention is highly recommended. All pets are to be treated with Advantage or similar topical flea and tick repellent three (3) days prior to arrival. Ticks are very rampant in this area and can cause harmful/fatal illness to humans and pets. All items above are the sole responsibility of the pet owner. The cabin owners assume no responsibility for illness or injury that humans or pets may incur while on the premises. DAMAGE/RESERVATION/INSURANCE- A reservation deposit of $750 is required unless you opt for the damage/deposit insurance for reservations up to $3000 the cost is $69 above this amount $89. If you opt for the refundable deposit. Funds must be received with your booking deposit of unit. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions are met. • No damage is done to unit or its contents, beyond normal wear and tear. • No charges are incurred due to contraband, pets or collection of rents or services rendered during the stay. • All debris, rubbish and discards are placed in dumpster, and soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher and cleaned. • All keys are left on the kitchen table and unit is left locked. • All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure. • No linens are lost or damaged. • NO early check-in or late checkout. • Parking passes are left inside the unit upon departure. • The renter is not evicted by the owner (or representative of the owner), the local law enforcement, or the security company employed by My Community. ? PAYMENT – An advance payment equal to 50% of the rental rate is required 60 days before arrival. The advance payment will be applied toward the rent. The BALANCE OF RENT is due fourteen (14) days before your arrival date. CANCELLATIONS – CANCELLATIONS –Cancellations that are made more than sixty (60) days prior to the arrival date are subject to a 5% cancellation fee or $50, whichever is greater. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within 60 days of the arrival date, forfeit the full advance payment and reservation deposit. Cancellation or early departure does not warrant any refund of rent. MONTHLY RESERVATION CANCELLATIONS – Monthly renters must cancel one hundred twenty (120) days prior to check-in. Monthly renters who make a change that results in a shortened stay must be made at least ninety (90) days prior to check-in. MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY – The maximum number of guests is limited to Twenty Six(26) persons. An additional charge or $10.00 per person per night for guests in addition to Twenty Six (26) will be assessed. MINIMUM STAY – This property requires a two (2) night minimum stay. Longer minimum stays may be required during holiday periods. If a rental is taken for less than three days, the guest will be charged the three-night rate. INCLUSIVE FEES – Rates include a one-time linen & towel setup. Amenity fees are included in the rental rate. NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – NO DAILY HOUSEKEEPING SERVICE – While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. However, it is available at an additional rate. We suggest you bring beach towels. We do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units. RATE CHANGES – Rates subject to change without notice. FALSIFIED RESERVATIONS – Any reservation obtained under false pretense will be subject to forfeiture of advance payment, deposit and/or rental money, and the party will not be permitted to check in. WRITTEN EXCEPTIONS – Any exceptions to the above mentioned policies must be approved in writing in advance. PARKING – PARKING – Parking is limited to Six (6) vehicles. Vehicles are to be parked in designated parking areas only. Parking on the road is not permitted. Any illegally parked cars are subject to towing; applicable fines/towing fees are the sole responsibility of the vehicle owner. HOT TUB – No children under the age of 12 permitted in hot tub at any time. NO Children without the supervision of an adult. When using the hot tub, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. Our housekeepers drain, sanitize, refill and replenish chemicals in all tubs prior to your arrival; therefore, it may not be warm until later that evening. DO NOT STAND ON THE HOT TUB COVERS. Hot tub covers are for insulation purposes and are not designed to support a person or persons. They will break and you may be charged for replacement. Remember when not using the hot tub, leave cover on so hot tub will stay warm. SAUNA – No children under the age of 12 permitted in sauna at any time. NO Children without the supervision of an adult. When using the sauna, remember there is a certain health risk associated with this facility. Use at your own risk. DO NOT STAY IN LONGER THAN 20 MINUTES AT ANY ONE TIME. DO NOT PLACE WATER IN OR ON THE HEATING ELEMENT. DO NOT PLACE TOWLES OR ANY OTHER COMBUSTIBLE MATERIAL OVER OR NEAR THE HEATING ELEMENT. Heating element is HOT DO NOT TOUCH. FIREPLACES – The upstairs pool table room fireplace is a vented gas log fired firebox. Please do not throw any paper or other combustible materials in the fireplace. ``Living room fireplace is wood burning. Please keep spark screen closed at all times during use. A 5 Gallon ash bucket is provided for waste ashes outside the front door to the right. Only place ashes in this sealed receptacle. DO NOT THROW ASHES IN THE TRASH AS THIS COULD CAUSE A FIRE. Fireplaces are turned off from April 15-September 15; they are not operational during this time of the year. WATER AND SEPTIC – The septic system is very effective; however, it will clog up if improper material is flushed. DO NOT FLUSH anything other than toilet paper. No feminine products should be flushed at anytime. If it is found that feminine products have been flushed and clog the septic system, you could be charged damages of up to two hundred dollars ($200). STORM POLICY– STORM POLICY/ROAD CONDITIONS – No refunds will be given for storms. Mountain roads can be curvy and steep. We highly recommend four wheel drive and/or chains during the snow months. MANY TIMES chains ARE required on 2 wheel drive vehicles by local law enforcement. We do not refund due to road conditions. TRAVEL INSURANCE – We highly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance. If you wish to purchase travel insurance, go to www.InsureMyTrip.com for details and to purchase. All of the units are privately owned; the owners are not responsible for any accidents, injuries or illness that occurs while on the premises or its facilities. The Homeowners are not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables of the guest.
