We had a great tme in Steamboat. The townhome was perfect for our stay. It is close to the ski slopes - you can walk or take the free shuttle that picked us up at the end of the driveway. The heated garage was a great place to store all of our skiing gear. The place is spacious - big bedrooms, kitchen, and living area. Everything is clean and well taken care of. The kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dshes and pots and pans. The hot tub, located right across from the townhouse, was a nice way to end the skiing day. I would highly reccommend this place to anyone who is looking.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2011
About the owner: We raised our family in Colorado, and Steamboat has long been our favorite vacation spot, both winter and summer. The kids (four of them) learned to ski here, and the sport remains our favorite thing to do together as a family. Our children are grown up and scattered now, and we've moved back to New England, our home turf, but Steamboat still serves as a locus for family vacations.
Why the Owner Chose Alpine Vista:
Our family has been coming to Steamboat since the seventies. We've always been skiers, we have good friends nearby, and the trip up here from Fort Collins was a whole lot more pleasant than navigating I-70 to other ski areas. If you hit it right, the skiing here (the tree skiing in particular) is unbelievable. In summer the hiking is fantastic, too. We're especially fond of the Flat Tops.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome:
We bought a three-bedroom condo in Steamboat in 2000, and it served us well. But by 2011, with the addition of grandchildren and the prospect of more to come, we needed more space. Real estate prices and interest rates made upgrading possible, so we started looking. The Alpine Vista townhome was one of the first properties we saw, and though we visited many more, we kept coming back to this one for 'just one more look.' And we took the plunge.
Alpine Vista was a huge step up for us in terms of space and quality of construction. The place was (and is) immaculate. The view of the ski area through the big set of east facing windows is spectacular. The kitchen functions nicely, the living room is filled with light and can accommodate a crowd, and the bedrooms offer plenty of privacy. The place just feels right. We are so happy to have it.
