Missoula cabin description
The amazing location and privacy of this property speaks for itself. Sitting just steps from Rock Creek you can put the coffee on, throw a line in and have a fish on before your first cup.
Sitting on 3.5 acres, surrounded by USFS land, wetlands with an additional spring creek, and mountains, this is your own personal getaway! Whether you are a hard core angler, novice or porch lounger, this property will meet your every need. The pond, located about 50 feet from the front porch, does have fish and is perfect for young children to try their hand at fishing. A short hike gets you over to the spring creek to try your luck. And the famed blue ribbon trout stream called Rock Creek needs no description.
The cabin has three porches. The front porch tends to be sunny and looks out over the large yard and pond. The two back porches, one upstairs and one down, sit overlooking Rock Creek and tend to stay in the shade. Large windows allow constant views of the wildlife and surrounding mountains. Downstairs holds a large laundry/mud room, open kitchen/family room with beautiful new gas stove, master bedroom with queen bed and full bath. Climb to the loft and you may not want to come down after seeing the view from all directions. Two queen beds and a bunk with queen mattress on bottom and twin on top allow for large groups. We also have three blow up mattresses if extra sleeping space is needed. A full bath and small bedroom with a twin bed finish the loft area.
New upgrades such as appliances, linens, cookware, high-speed internet, and more will be phased in during the spring of 2013. Returning guests will find more conveniences this year and see the true beauty of the property as we bring the yard and Cabin to their full potential.

My two friends met me in Montana for a few days of relaxation and fishing. We had considered staying in a hotel in Missoula, but found this property on vrbo, and decided to take a chance on it sight unseen. My conversations and dealing with the owner Aileen were terrific, very helpful. I had grown up fishing on Rock Creek, and to be able to stay right next to the Creek in this beautiful cabin was a blessing, bringing back a lot of great memories. The property is far enough off of the main road to feel secluded. The pond on the property really is stocked with fish, fun to try to catch. The property is also large enough to give you plenty of room as well. The cabin is beautiful, very clean, and the owner has thoughtfully provided many items ahead of time for cooking, etc. Having a flat screen and cable TV for sports was pretty sweet! And the cabin wi-fi worked well, to be able to email when necessary. Cabin has plenty of room, tastefully decorated, very well kept up. Appliances are great, most are brand new. The porches on both sides of the cabin are REALLY nice. Rock Creek was fun to fish again, lots of places to access the Creek. This is a beautiful part of Montana, and only about 45 minutes from Missoula. I can't say enough about how nice a place this is, and how well the owners have done in creating a relaxing hideaway. We WILL be back!

A Little Bit of Heaven
A Little Bit of Heaven
Of all the many homes we have rented, worldwide, this was one of the best. The log home and location was everything and more than stated. Secluded, directly on one of the best trout fly fishing rivers in Montana. The log home was beautiful and felt like home. The owners have provided everything from awesome towels ( endless), designer ground coffee, wine glasses, everything and more than needed. The home was clean, lots of windows and decks with incredible views from every one. I had the chance to meet one of the owners who was really nice and helpful. My only negative is that I was only there for 3 days ! I am already in planning stage for a return visit for at least a week with friends. This is a perfect vacation rental for relaxation, yet only about a half hour from Missoula. With a complete modern excellent kitchen, and the awesome new large gas grill, I suggest grocery shopping for your stay, and never leaving the site. I give this rental 6 stars out of 5 !
