  The property is well maintained and beautifully decorated. Our stay at the Balcones de Atlantico over New Year's week was picture perfect. Prior to arrival Emma was very helpful and quick to answer any questions we had. The apartment was spacious and bright and open. The apartment had everything you would possibly need. We were two adults and one five year old but you could definitely fit more people. The pool area is fabulous and relaxing. The beach is lovely and the restaurant is very good. The supermarket in town has everything you need as well so I recommend getting supplies for the apartment as well because it does have a lovely kitchen. We enjoyed meals on the balcony during the day, and relaxed with a glass of wine and cool breezes at night. Daily cooking and cleaning are provided by trustworthy personnel. We highly recommend this area of the Dominican Republic in general, and this resort and property specifically if you are looking for a top of the line vacation.

  We had an excellent experience staying at Balcones del Atlantico and dealing with the property owner. The owner was responsive to all our requests and helpful and quick at responding all our questions. The apartment was spacious, open, clean and very comfortable for a party of 4 adults and 1 toddler. The facilities i.e. pool, children's pool, lounge chairs both at the pool and beach at Balcones were in great conditions. This is a new resort complex. It is in a great location and destination for people who want to get away from the traditional big resort complex and relax in more of family oriented condo environment. It is great place to stay with a family and kids.

  Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

  Coming from Switzerland in the summer to spend a week in the Dominican Republic we were a little worried about the heat, but after arriving at this very airy and fresh apartment, we realized that the vacation would be wonderful. This apartment is beautifully decorated, well appointed and with plenty of open spaces, comfortable and full of all the amenities that a family of 5 would need. We had a wonderful maid that was organized by the owner who cooked our meals and cleaned the apartment while we were out having fun in the various pools of the resort or at the beautiful 5 min walking distance beach. The resort is clean and offers a safe environment. We really enjoyed our evening meals at the apartment's terrace. The nearby town of Las Terrenas offers a variety of restaurants to chose from as well as lounges and bars for the evening. It really felt like a home away from home. We would definitely consider going back to this apartment in the future.

  This past summer we had the most out standing vacation at Balcones del Atlantico. The accommodation is great. Luxurious yet relaxed. We arrived and had immediate help from concierge which was important to us because my cousin and I were travelling with four children so between the beach toys, the luggage and the super market shopping bags, it was a lot to carry. The apartment is absolutely lovely. It has everything you could need and more. The view is so relaxing, and the decoration invites you to stay and enjoy. Each morning we prepared our breakfast and off we went to the beach. The children enjoyed so much this beautiful place because we visited, in only one week, three spectacular beaches without having to travel more than 15 minutes from Balcones. The resort's private beach is a walking distance and has a five star restaurant. The beach is calm and shallow. The sunsets are breath taking. We would stay all day at the beach club where there is a bar, the restaurant and bath rooms. There is a play ground for the children and this broadened the activities for them without mentioning the pools. We had memorable moments in this vacation and are so looking forward to returning this summer.

  We stayed at this beautiful apartment in Nov.2011. My husband, inlaws and kids (2 toddlers). The apartment has everything you need for a comfortable, luxury vacation. The resort and amenities are top of the line. There is plenty to keep the kiddies busy. Pool is terrific, beach is perfect Kids (they took naps on beach beds!! priceless). Resort staff is friendly and will do anything to make your stay comfortable. The beach restaurant serves good drinks and food. The local supermarket has good quality foods/meats/fish, liquor...they deliver. We had breakfast and dinner in the apartment (made by the most qualify hired staff). Lunch was at the beach. Daily cooking and cleaning were provided by trustworthy personnel (and the price is uncomparable to anything else in the world!!! this alone makes the trip so worth it). The apartment is fully equipped -feels like home. The complex is safe and the location and layout of the apartment is perfect for kids to sleep and adults to have a night drink. We got back, and planned our next stay for this April...As far as transportation, rent a car at the airport...the drive is easy (not many roads-despite 2hrs), just drive SLOWLY!!! beautiful scenery, there is no need to rush. Once you arrive, you will not want to leave and will want to come back! this is one of those places you have to enjoy before it gets too crowded...Highly recommended. THANKS Fabiola!!!
