The perfect place for a relaxing getaway or a romantic retreat, our 3 bedroom oceanfront cottage is centrally situated close to Tors Cove along the Irish Loop and the East Coast Trail, just 50 minutes south of the city of St. John's, offering easy access to a myriad of activities and quiet seclusion with a breath taking view.
Relax around the fire pit after a busy day sightseeing or lounge on the deck after an active day hiking and watch the moon rise out of the ocean.
Located 100 meters down the old dirt road running between Burnt Cove and Tors Cove, the cottage is sequestered on three sides by trees and has the true out-in-the-country peacefulness.
Bird watchers will enjoy the many different types of seabirds that nest on the nearby islands in the Witless Bay Ecological Reserve and perhaps even see an eagle or two. Whales can be seen in season from the deck and the gazebo.
The living area and two of the bedrooms have ocean views, allowing you to relax and fall asleep to the rhythmic sound of the ocean waves lapping or breaking on the rocks below.
Our cottage was our summer home for three summers until we finally moved to Newfoundland so you will find it fully furnished and equipped to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

                  Owner info

Why the Owner Chose Tors Cove:
We discovered this cottage on our first trip to Newfoundland to hike the east coast trail, purchased it and returned the next summer. That year the humpback whales came right into Tors Cove and fed within feet of the rocks in front of the cottage. We returned the next couple of summers and renovated the cottage. Now that we have moved out here we want share this lovely vacation spot with you.

The Unique Benefits at this Cottage:
We love this spot for the quiet seclusion, yet only 1km from the highway, one of the best views on the Avalon Peninsula, easy access to the East Coast Trail and watching the whales while we relax in the gazebo.
