We had a great time at The Comfort Zone! The weather was amazing, and we even got one night of snow so that our 2-year-old could throw her first snowball and make a small snowman. The rest of the week was sunny and gorgeous. The Comfort Zone is very clean, well-stocked, beautifully-decorated, has all the amenities of home, and is centrally located near many destinations while stil being private and secluded. We especially enjoyed riding on the Blue Ridge Parkway and Hwy 441 through the Great Smoky Mountains National Park (which got a lot more snow than we did; people were making snowmen on the side of the road!). We hope to return during summer sometime to do some fishing in the area. As an aside, we were able to access the internet through our phones, on the 3G network (Verizon). We didn't do it often, but it was nice to be able to check in without driving down to Dillsboro to the internet cafe.

This place was AWESOME!!! Very secluded from everyday life & where the house is located, traffic is RARE. You can sit in the front deck of the house & listen to the wind rustle through the trees & the creek flow below. The hot tub was EXCELLENT!!! On a scale from 1 to 10, I WOULD have given this house a 10 except for some VERY minor things that were missing for me personally. First, for me, Wi-Fi would have been very nice. There are no houses around that have it. That kind of thing may not matter to you and if so, then this house is for you. Second, a TV in at least one of the bedrooms with it's own receiver would have been great. But, as I stated earlier, these are both MINOR inconveniences for me. They are not enough to make me stay away from this house. My family & I WILL be staying here again. I give it an overall 9/10. Trust me, you WILL enjoy this place as it lives up to it's name... The Comfort Zone.

We loved it! Could not have asked for a more beautiful place to stay for vacation. Very quiet and secluded from every day life. About as stress free as it gets. My wife and two young sons (and my brother in law) really enjoyed staying at the Comfort Zone and are already wanting to go back. We look forward to returning again next summer. If you stay here I can guarantee you that you will want to visit again!

We just returned from our 3 night stay at Comfort Zone. It was absolutely wonderful. It is so peaceful and quiet there. The kids went hiking up the mountains 2 days while we cooked dinner. We also went whitewater rafting and horseback riding during our stay. It was nice to come back to such a lovely, peaceful home at the end of the day to relax. We loved listening to the running river below the cabin. The only thing that would have made this home better is to have either some rocking chairs on the deck or a swing. There were lounge chairs but I'm just partial to rocking or swinging in the mountains. Thanks again for sharing for lovely place with us. We hope to be returning soon.

My wife, our two youngest children and I spent the week of July 4th at your cabin and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Talk about "fully furnished"! About all you need to bring with you is food. It truly is secluded, quiet (about all you hear are birds chirping and the nearby creek) and COMFORTable. The final drive up from Hwy. 74 is scenic and somewhat of an adventure in itself (a sign directing you to the right at the fork in the road might help first-time visitors). Great location for folks spending time in Dillsboro, Sylva, Franklin, Cherokee, Bryson City/Deep Creek and the surrounding area. We hope to go back next summer. Thanks Ron and Christine for providing a great place for us to stay.

We just got back from spending three nights at the Comfort Zone. It was perfect for five adults. We loved the flat screen tv and the hot tub, and it had just enough space. There was a huge snow storm the week before we came, and the owners kept in touch with us throughout the week to let us know if the house would be accessible, which was much appreciated. We will definitely come here again.

My wife and I spent a week at the very clean Comfort Zone with friends from Oklahoma and our motorcycles. The paved steep driveway to the property was tricky on the bikes but doable (actually a little fun). Maneuvering the trailers was also tricky but doable. Parking for 2 trailers and vehicles (plus bikes on carport) was tight. The cabin was very comfortable for the 4 of us. Amenities were plentiful with towels that rivaled 5 star hotels. A very quiet location with the exception of the the tumbling waters of Dick's Creek. No traffic (being at the end of the road.) Very nice front porch for morning coffee. A DVD player would be nice instead of the VCR for nighttime entertainment. (And FYI for summer guests - the only A/C unit is in the living room, at the opposite corner of the cabin from the master bedroom.) The owner made us aware of a hot tub issue but had it resolved before we even knew about it. They also called twice to make sure all was well with the cabin. It was a good location for access to the Blue Ridge Parkway. We would recommend The Comfort Zone for a great vacation spot. Don't trust the GPS for locating the address. Follow the owner's map to the end of the road.

As soon as we arrived at your cozy cabin, the fatigue of our 1000 mile drive melted away inthe peace of the woods and gentle sounds of the creek. The quite isolation is a welcome from our busy noisy city life.Your cabin is well equipped and comfortable for our month long stay.I appreciate the wide assortment for sharp knives, pots and pans since I did lots of cooking. We liked youe attention to comfort, lots of soft, thick towels, plenty of pillows, flannel sheets and candles.being snowed in 5 days did not dampen our spirts. We will be back only next time in the summer. love and blessings...dan and sarah

We stayed at the Comfort Zone over the Memorial Day weekend and had a great time. After a long day on the motorcycle, the special massage jets in the hot tub were awesome! Even though we were there to ride, we still enjoyed hanging out on the porch in the morning listening to the creek nearby. We had a very relaxing weekend and look forward to our next visit.

We had a wonderful stay at The Comfort Zone and it was so much more than we had expected! The home is beautifully furnished with everything you could possibly need and then some. I love the rock collection on the wall, and it has inspired us to start our own. The surrounding area is simply gorgeous! We slept with the windows open every night and awoke every morning to the sound of the creek rushing by. The king sized bed was so comfortable and the towels were softer than what we have at home. During our stay we visited pretty much all of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. We visited all three visitor's centers and saw an abundance of wildlife including deer, wild turkey, salamander, snake, bats, frogs and even a black bear at Cades Cove. We also spent a day in Gatlinburg visiting the Aquarium and eating at Bubba Gump Shrimp. The hot tub was very welcoming after a long day of hiking and sightseeing, and our children loved the collection of movies and games which we played every night. I have already recommended The Comfort Zone to practically everyone I know, and if ever get a chance to go back to North Carolina we will certainly stay in this wonderful home away from home.

This was our 1st Mnt vacation as a family. We came to visit Thomas the Train. We could not have asked for a better place to stay. Everything was provided. Cozy, restful, peaceful. Short drive to anywhere you wanted to visit. We went tubing, visited Ghost Town, Fun Factory and Rode on Thomas of course. Dillsboro has great places to eat and shop as well. Our three children had a blast. I can't stay enough about this place. Thanks for opening up your home to us. I highly recommend this place if your looking to stay near Dillsboro or Bryson City. My family & I would like to Thank the owners of The Comfort Zone, for making their cabin available to us! Their cabin is very beautiful, and so is the surroundings! My family & I had a wonderful time this past weekend(OCT.12-OCT.15)! I would recommend this cabin to anyone, that likes clean & beautiful atmosphere. Also to anyone that is thinking of renting this cabin, go and check out the food at The Dillsboro Smokehouse( If You Like Good BBQ). And make reservations for the Great Smokey Mountain Railroad(My Family & I Enjoyed This Very Much). You may want to go over toward Cherokee( make sure you stop by the first place you pass to pan for gems) My children found alot of big gems there. Hope to come back in the near future!!
