Lovely escape

Nancy was kind enough to take us in on very short notice when our previously reserved rental turned out to be substandard. Wish we had chosen Casita of the Painted Sky first! There are some places you stay where this is just a wonderful, comforting energy and this had it. Nancy truly has the gift of hospitality. Everything was spotless, comfortable, welcoming and thoughtful. The views from the patio and window were beautiful. The first night we relaxed in front of the fire enjoying the champagne and the piped-in music (which coincidentally included our wedding song.) Also enjoyed being in a quiet neighborhood, yet so close to town. Nancy's International travel momentos and touches made it a truly unique and memorable stay. A God-send to bone-weary travelers!
Owner response:This message I received from your stay was much appreciated. It was a pleasure meeting you both. I am so happy you enjoyed your stay in he Casita of the Painted Sky. You are welcome to come back anytime. Best to you both, Nancy Duddy in Santa Fe

We stayed at this lovely casita for 5 nights. It is as charming as the pictures and a delightful place to stay. It's decorated with lots of interesting and fun artifacts from all over the world and is well stocked with books and brochures about the area. The town is only about 2.5 miles away and there is a beautiful view of the city from the patio and the living room of the casita. The owner was extremely helpful in recommending places to go and for dinner. We were celebrating our 8th anniversary and Nancy recommended dinner at the Inn of Loretto which was beautiful and the dinner wonderful.
