What an absolute delight to escape to your oh-so-charming cabin! Your directions were perfect, getting us right to your door. It was so nice to have everything immaculate, and with lovely linens. How fun to tour each room discovering your treasures, so artistically arranged, giving such an inviting ambiance. The notebook you provided was very nice to introduce us to the local attractions. We slept at your cabin but had comittments during the day at a conference and we didn't want to leave. Your cabin is the best stress release ever! If only our schedule could have worked for us to stay and linger in front of your fire another few days. If only... Thank you so much for sharing your little paradise, a mile nearer heaven.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We came from San Diego and stayed at this cabin for 4 nights. We had a wonderful time here. This cabin was a perfect fit for 3 of us. This cabin was very thoughtfully furnished. Owners spared no expense in providing the necessary furnishings and made every effort to make their guests' stay as comfortable as possible. While there are many little delighters, I'll mention a few. Couple of walkie-talkies, comfortable memory foam mattress, umpteen number of lights to light every corner of the house and extra tooth brush for the hurried & harried, are a few examples. This cabin was also very nicely and seasonally decorated. The pictures of Lake Arrowhead cabins of yesteryears and Christmas trees, reduced the stress levels and put us in the holiday mood. The little animal figurines through out the house and squirrel salt-and-pepper shakers are a nice touch. Owners also provided peanuts for squirrels and bird feed. We kept the food bowls filled up and waited eagerly for all the birds and squirrels to come. However, first couple of days, a family of raccoons came and polished off all the nuts and bird seed. Towards the end of our stay, some Blue Jays and other birds did show up. Our daughter had great time watching all the birds and animals. Owners also had a raccoon puppet named "Rocky". Our young daughter loved playing with it. Overall we had a great time. We will definitely consider staying here for our future Lake Arrowhead visits and will recommend this cabin to our friends and family. Thanks for sharing your wonderful cabin with us. - RLT PS: No review is complete without some suggestions for improvements. 1) While this cabin will appeal to any animal lover worth his salt, it can do without the "deer head" on the wall. That was a little turn off. 2) For a visiting guest, it it not clear on where one can park their car. A little bit more signage or prior instructions from the owners, can go a long way. 3) Whole cabin has very nice smooth wooden floor. The floor is slippery and be prepared for that. As we visited during winter time, to keep our feet warm, we wore socks. With the combination of slippery wooden floors and our socks, we are lucky that we made out without any one slipping and hurting ourselves. 4) Another alternative or suggestions on how we can dispose off trash would be great. We ended up packing it and took with us, which was not ideal.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: So glad to hear you enjoyed your time at the cabin! I really don't know what to say about the laminate floors. I haven't noticed them being any more slippery than other floors. Sorry you had a hard time on them. I'm also confused as to the parking question. The parking is right in front of our house and stairs to the house, but after reading your notes, I am going to post a picture of the driveway so there will be no future confusion. As for the trash, it is written into our rental agreement, as well as posted at the cabin, that you will need to take your trash with you. This is because we cannot leave trash outside, due to the raccoons and other wildlife that like to rip into trash bags and flip over trash cans looking for goodies. They are so cute, but can make quite a mess. :)

Why the Owner Chose Lake Arrowhead:
My husband and I bought our cabin in 2008. My family had a cabin while I was growing up and we wanted to have our own cabin for our family and grandkids to enjoy and create memories.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I fell in love with our home the very first time I walked through the door. It has the feel of a mini lodge nestled in the trees. I saw the river rock fireplace and pictured all the times I would be reading a book by the fire.... and the deck and the trees were amazing. Now when we walk through the door, we are still in awe and can just feel our stress melt away. We want to share that experience with others and hope that our cabin provides a place of relaxation and great memories.
