Lake Placid condo description
Nestled into the hillside above the shores of Lake Placid is Brookhill 37, an enchanting condominium offering accommodations for 8 in an elegant Adirondack setting. Brookhill 37 is located at the Whiteface Club and Resort, just minutes from the heart of Lake Placid Village. The 3-bedroom, 3-bath condo has been recently renovated and is an ideal base for a variety of recreational activities in all seasons.
Guests enter this third-floor unit to take in spectacular lake and mountain views from the living room, dining room, kitchen and deck. The public spaces are at once homey and luxurious, with original art, traditional Adirondack charm, and tasteful furnishings and decor. A wood burning fireplace with hand carved mantel creates a comfortable setting for relaxing afternoons and evenings. In the dining room, a birch and barnwood table provides ample room for family dinners under a soaring cathedral ceiling.
The gourmet kitchen is beautiful and fully equipped with professional cookware, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. The kitchen provides everything guests need to create and serve meals as elaborate or simple as they choose.
The first floor is completed by 2 newly-decorated bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The master bedroom has a king-sized bed with luxurious bedding and mission-style furniture. The second bedroom features two twin beds with designer bedding and Adirondack charm. The bathrooms are both bright and new; one is highlighted by beautiful custom tile and a copper bowl sink and contains the washer dryer behind closet doors.
Upstairs, the third bedroom is brand new and offers a queen-sized bed with feather-bed and a private bathroom suite. The bathroom is decorated with custom tile and handcrafted woodwork in Adirondack motifs. The floor is heated to ensure toasty toes on chilly Adirondack mornings. The bedroom is paneled with birch bark and built-in wainscot cupboardry. This room opens to the second story loft and beautiful views of the mountain and lake.
The loft also houses the cable HDTV and a new queen-sized sofa bed with coil and air mattress. For guests who don't want to 'get away from it all,' WiFi is available. Two decks provide a sunny or shady spot to sit to read a book, take a nap or admire the mountain and lake views.
Whether you grab your hiking boots, skiis or snowboard or simply a good book, Brookhill 37 will provide a warm and wonderful base for Adirondack adventures. Ski Magazine recently ranked Whiteface the second best ski mountain in the northeast. World class and Olympic facilities also beckon for winter hiking, cross country skiing, skating, hockey, snowshoeing or sledding. Guests may also be happy just to stroll through the village, poking in village shops or the public library or enjoying a delicious hot chocolate in one of Lake Placid's many restaurants.
For guests looking to plan a spring or summer vacation, rental of Brookhill 37 includes the use of the owners' two kayaks and 5 guest passes to the private beach at the Whiteface Club. Other amenities offered for additional fees include golf, tennis, boating and dining in the property's two restaurants.
Beyond the resort, Lake Placid's summer attractions are legendary: biking, hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, ski jumping, skating, and running are just outside the door. The Olympic training center, Ironman triathalon, Lake Placid Horse Shows, Summit Lacrosse Classic offer endless opportunities for summer fun and excitement. Or, one of those comfy Adirondack chairs along the shore of Lake Placid may beckon while you think about what to do next.

Great for families
Great for families
Our family spent 6 wonderful days at Brookhill 37. The condo was more like a home than a condo. The neighbors were very nice. The location was perfect for the kids...a short walk to a stream and bridge and just another few hundred feet to the water. The small beach (with a safety line) and restaurant were also perfect. Our kids spent hours paddle boarding, kayaking, swimming and jumping off the raft. The condo was the perfect place to watch both the sun rise and set. The upstairs loft was perfect for family movies and the kitchen had everything we could ever need to make our meals. It was so nice we hope to return in the Fall and Winter.

Owner response: The best thing about Brookhill 37 IS the beautiful natural setting, but we appreciate your kind comments, as well. We hope you do return to Brookhill in fall or winter, when the area is equally fun and charming!

Last weekend 3 couples met at this amazing condo. The condo is impeccable and has every amenity a person could desire. The views of Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid are simply gorgeous. We had a roaring fireplace where we sipped our wine and relaxed in the evening. The kitchen has every appliance, gadget, pots and pans you could ever need and we ate a leisurely breakfast at the comfortable Adk dining table and sat staring out the windows. Right out the front door we had several epic snowshoeing excursions down the jackrabbit trail into the woods. One day we found ourselves at a gorgeous dam with a little bridge where we stopped and had a zen moment it was so breathtaking. Others in the group cross country skiid down the groomed trails right outside the front door. Later we downhill skiid at Whiteface and did more cross country skiing at the Olympic training site. We walked to the amazing Lake Placid Lodge for a 5 star dinner and drinks. There are also several dining options in the Whiteface Club. The village is a 5 minute drive. Sadly, we had to leave but we will be back in the summer or fall to golf and hike. I wish this was my home!
