We really enjoyed our stay on Mimosa. The house was very clean with good beds and bedding, and we had everything we needed plus more. Loved having two GOOD bikes and the kayaks were the highlight of our trip!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Thank you John and Lisa for providing such an excellent home for our family vacation. The home accommodated our family of six (including our elderly parent) very comfortably. Most importantly, the home was very clean. The home was tastefully decorated and furnished and well equipped. We enjoyed riding the bikes and I went on a kayak adventure of the surrounding area. The home was within easy walking distance to the ocean, restaurants and shops. My daughter and I played tennis at the near by public facility daily. We also enjoyed the Marco Island market on Wednesday morning, an event not to miss. We have rented three other homes on Marco Island and this rental was by far the best.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children.

We took our 9 month old granddaughter on her first vacation and nailed it. Great location. Great house. You can walk to the beach, restaurants and bars. Beautiful neighborhood. We rented a pontoon boat for three days and headed up to Goodland for the Little Bar stone crabs. We hired a guide out of Goodland and caught sea trout which the Snook Inn prepared for $11. Everything is close on the island so there isnt any downtime. We had a crib and beach stroller delivered to the house, very reasonable cost. The bikes in the garage were put to good use. This house is fishing and boat friendly, close to ocean. House was exceptionally clean on check in. Owners are available if needed.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our family of 7 stayed for a week and had a great time. The home is very clean and nicely decorated (the pictures are accurate). John and Lisa were focused on making our stay a success! I have rented vacation homes many times and never had an experience like this!! Thanks John & Lisa for making our stay great! We enjoyed the kayaks and bikes and utilized the recently upgraded boat lift. The gulf is only minutes away. There is a boat ramp nearby, but I launched mine at Calusa Island Marina (calusaislandmarina.com). They had parking for my trailer for the week plus an area to wash down. It only took me about 35 or 40 minutes to get to the house on the boat and about 10 or 15 minutes by car. The neighborhood was very nice and quiet. We used our boat to get to various beaches but it appeared you could drive or walk 10 or 15 minutes to a beach too. We paid extra to heat the pool and it was well worth it for the cooler days. We are already looking forward to our next visit!Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway.
Owner response: Thank you Matt! We hope you made it home safely!!!

Stayed for a week at this home in Marco and had a wonderful time. The home is easy to find located close to shopping, the beach and many restaurants. I was able to keep my boat at the dock and was in the Gulf of Mexico within 5 minutes. Great fishing and sightseeing near all of the islands, we even found a nice secluded white sand beach all to ourselves! The home was very clean and nicely decorated, the pool was refreshing and clean. We really felt and wished this was our second home. The owners were very receptive and easy to contact with the few questions we had prior to arriving.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

The perfect place for a relaxing getaway from the noise, the crowds and the rush of daily life. It was easy to find and conveniently located close to the beach, great restaurants and shops. Comfortable, clean, great decor and a super kitchen made my weekend with the girls a great time. Can't wait to return.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway.

For me, the south end of Marco is the place to go & this is the place to stay. The home is clean and beautifully decorated. All the appliances and furnishings are of the quality you would buy for your own home. I did not expect this from a rental property. I loved the open floor plan and vaulted ceilings. They make this place feel like a mansion, yet because the bedrooms are all on the perimeter you are only a few steps away from some quiet privacy. The grounds are lush with tropical foliage & apparently professionally maintained. The dock has fresh water spigots, lights, a hoist for a PWC and a fish cleaning station that really came in handy. It was so convenient to launch the boat at the marina and make the 10 minute ride back to my own private dock. After a long day on the water, the pool was a welcome relief as well as a cool drink! As I stated, this is the place to stay, you are literally minutes from the Gulf, and all the amenities that Marco has to offer. There are few places left in Florida that have the "refined" feel that Marco Island has. Didn't see a tacky, cheap "T" shirt joint the whole time I was there. How refreshing! The restaurants on Marco offer almost any kind of cuisine you could want and they too, are just minutes away. I plan on returning to this property as soon as time allows and would definitely recommend this to family or friends. The owners are very warm & friendly folks & I felt they went above & beyond to make sure that my stay was everything it could be! A rare thing these days. I look forward to seeing them again!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway.

Please let me win the lottery so I move here! This house is awesome and marco is amazing. Parked my boat right out back. Caught fish off the dock in my back yard. Took jet ski to shorty ride to Gulf and the 10,000 islands! Just a fantastic location. John & Lisa thanks for making your home mine.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, sightseeing.

Loved it…loved it…loved it. I did not want to leave. It is the perfect place to go if you need to getaway and unwind. No interruptions from other vacationers, which is what most people experience at resorts. Every day was like waking up in heaven. Immaculate, tranquil, and comfy would be the best way to describe this home. The nearby beach was a great place to collect beautiful shells. O'Brien's and Breakfast Plus are two of the restaurants in the area that have great food.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, people with disabilities, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Year Purchased: 2012
About the owner: Hi, my name is John Nemcik and my Fiancée's name is Lisa. We currently live in the Orlando Florida area. I am originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and my Fiancée is from Westfield, New Jersey.
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes:
I purchased this property as a retirement home for Myself and Lisa. I have invested a considerable amount of work and finances to get this home up to a nice standard. We both fell in love with this part of the Island, since it is convenient to most everything and at the same time it is in a very upscale and quiet neighborhood. The neighboring homes are gorgeous, many with beautiful tropical landscaping.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
We have stocked the home with some great furniture and have strived to make this home comfortable and classy, while still retaining the tropical aspects of Marco Island. Kayaking and bicycling are big here, so we have left you with 2 kayaks and 2 Trek Bikes for your use.
