This lovely and cozy loft condo includes a small, but full kitchen, stone tile flooring in kitchen and bath, bathroom, carpeted sleeping loft upstairs, carpeted living area downstairs w/2 full size suede futons, and is located just steps away from Tahoe Donner Ski Lifts, Hiking, X-Country, and Biking Trails. A short drive from other winter resorts like Squaw, Alpine, Northstar, Sugarbowl, Boreal, etc! Condo also has a private deck w/BBQ and view of mountains.
The condo has one bedroom upstairs (queen bed) and 2 full size, luxury futons downstairs (sleeps up to 6).
Other features include onsite management and coin laundry facilities, Wireless Internet, DVD, 42' Plasma TV, Surround Sound HomeTheater.
Other Activities nearby include: tennis courts, 18 hole professional golf course/driving range, ski slope/school, cross country ski, beach club and marina, boat ramp, equestrian center, miles and miles of hiking/biking trails.
*Note: Guests do NOT currently have access to Tahoe Donner amenities (Trout Creek Rec Center, hot tub, pool, gym, etc.). Condo UNPLUGGED (aside from Internet), and is NOT equipped with phone or cable/satellite/TV services.
Tahoe Donner Downhill Ski Area is the 'Best Place to Begin' & has the best rates around. Great for families, especially beginners & advanced skiers will enjoy the hill too. Children 6 & Under are always FREE! Parents ski Free Tuesdays (with kids).

The futons don't really sleep two. There isn't enough bedding for more than two people in this condo. Comforters have no covers and were dirty and there was only one. So we spent the night freezing! As someone had previously mentioned the pans are in bad shape and need to be replaced. It was very inconvenient for us so instead of staying the two nights we paid for we just stayed one!Owner response: Sorry to hear you did not enjoy your stay. Please contact me and we can try to resolve the issues you had. It's unfortunate you did not try to contact me during your stay as we would have tried to remedy your concerns as soon as possible, as we do all of our guest's concerns. As for the futon size, the ad clearly states that both are "full size" beds, which typically means you can sleep up to two in each. We would consider a "twin" size bed as sleeping only one person. We have had many guests which have used it as double occupancy without complaint. As for clean bedding, duvet covers, sheets, linens, towels, etc., there is enough for all three beds. As we note in our guest info document provided to all confirmed guests, the other bed linens are tucked away in the wardrobe and closets. Perhaps you did not see them? If you would have reached out to us, we could have brought over additional bedding as required as well. Finally, we take cleanliness seriously and we will discuss with our cleaning service and double check they have the proper procedures in place to provide a clean and healthy environment for all of our guests. Any guest that is concerned about cleanliness can speak directly to our cleaning service to understand the cleaning materials and procedures that they take prior to any guest checking in, which always includes a full laundry wash of all bedding, towels, etc. We guarantee cleanliness and will refund cleaning fees immediately to anyone not satisfied with the condition of the condo upon check in. This was an ideal spot for a first ski trip to Tahoe Donner, we even went back to the condo to eat a nice hot lunch. It was wonderful to be so close! My only complaint was that the kitchen could be better stocked. It wouldn't be an issue if you didn't plan to cook meals, but the frying pans had teflon coating peeling off and there was no large mixing bowl, baking sheet or oven-suitable pan and the knives were dull. If you were just eating cereal in the condo or buying meals out, it wouldn't be a problem. My wife and I stayed here over New Year's with our 6 year old twins and we all had a great time. This condo is perfectly situated for teaching little kids to ski - it is a very short walk to the bottom of the lifts of the Tahoe-Donner downhill ski area. Tahoe-Donner is a small ski area, but it is a great place for lessons and for little kids, and it isn't crowded or crazy like a big resort. And having the condo be right there is terrific - we walked back to the condo (in our ski boots) every day for lunch, and getting everyone out of their boots and letting them eat a normal lunch made the day better for everybody. This condo would be tight for more than 4 people, but it was great for us. Both of the futons fold down flat with no trouble, the loft is nice, and there are plenty of towels and linens. The kitchen is small but well laid out and well equipped. We didn't try cooking anything more complicated than sandwiches and hot cocoa, but we could have. (Dinner out after a day of skiing was too tempting). I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Families with young children.

You will need to send 2 checks (one for rental plus cleaning and the second for $250 security deposit). I will deposit the rental plus cleaning check immediately to reserve the condo for you, and hold the security deposit check and resend back to you upon checkout.
