Great for girls week away!!!! This very private, magical garden, county home is beautifully situated on a one and three quarter acre estate property on Montecito’s most prestigious Lane. Enter through private gates and wander down the olive tree allee to the large motor court. The property offers many amenities including; landscaped rose, vegetable and flower gardens, specimen palms, oaks, fruit and citrus trees as well as a large and serene lily pond with fountain and a gracious, expansive lawn for croquet (equipment provided). The house has plentiful garden patios and al fresco eating areas which offer lovely outdoor entertaining options, complete with barbeque.
The Main house, appointed with handsome antiques as well as contemporary furnishings and artwork, offers three bedrooms and four baths; every room is light filled with high ceilings which bring “the beauty of the outdoors in” to this country home. Five sets of French doors, found throughout the house, lead to generous outside patios for entertaining, including a private patio off the master with private views of the back acre. The comfortable formal living room/dining room, with fireplace, opens to the Lily pond and fountain, where hummingbirds flutter, and the pattern of the fountain’s “watermusic” fills the house. The open plan Kitchen/Family room offers custom cabinetry, top of the line appliances, oak floors, Carrera countertops, garden vistas, a large, comfy eat-in area and a generous but cozy TV/entertainment viewing (CD Player, Premier TV Channels – HBO, Showtime and Cinemax, DVR). High speed wireless internet is found throughout the house and music can be played on the stereo.
The master suite is furnished for relaxation and luxury. There is an Antique carved, olive wood four poster bed: complete with super comfy, king-size Tempur-Pedic's mattress. A flat screen TV provides entertainment. French doors lead to a private patio with a view of the back acre and cutting garden. The master bath offers the choice of a large, deep, soaking tub and glass-enclosed shower.
You will love the convenience and lifestyle, of walking to the Upper-Village and many of Montecito’s best restaurants and shopping. Three of Montecito’s beloved beaches: Hammonds, Miramar and Butterfly are a mere mile and a half away. Have an ocean view breakfast on the veranda at the Four Seasons Biltmore Resort. As part of the rental agreement, you will be given a Dining pass to allow yu to access The Tydes: The premier Montecito waterfront restaurant of the Coral Casino Club. This pass will entitle you access for your chosen date for you to reserve a table at the restaurant for dinner or lunch.
Only a mile away is the lower village with fabulous restaurants and retail shops of Coast Village Road.
The renowned wine district of Santa Ynez is just 30 minutes drive and even closer, Santa Barbara's Wine Ghetto offers tastings at over 20 different wine tasting rooms.

We are served by two airports, an excellent small accessible local airport just 15 minutes away with all of the rental car companies and good taxi service. LAX is a 90 minute drive and is served by a frequent air bus and private limos.

Great getaway from the snow and rain of Oregon. We absolutely loved this home in Montecito. It is beautifully furnished for comfort but casually elegant at the same time. Sitting on the patio having breakfast with the serenity of the fountain and birds in our ears was magical. What a treat to be able to pick oranges, lemons and other citrus fruits right outside out back door for breakfast (definitely something you don't get to do in Oregon). We were fortunate to be able to dine at the outstanding Tydes Restaurant at the Coral Casino (private swim club) right on the waterfront, another perk you can experience if you rent this residence. This home is a three minute walk to the upper village of Montecito yet very private and quiet when you're on the estate.We stayed mostly in Montecito, as we came to relax, but it is only minutes from downtown Santa Barbara, a scenic drive to the surrounding wine country and only about a half an hour drive from LAX. The house had more than enough room for three couples (on one level) to fully relax. The beds, showers, and the general setting were remarkable. The owner was gracious and efficient when asked for additional information or amenities. The back yard area is the perfect antidote to an Oregon winter. We would definitely recommend it's beauty and comfort. My husband is still reminding me how comfortable the beds were and how much total relaxation he felt in this home. We will be recommending this home to all of our friends and hope to come back again this coming winter. Our only complaint was that we didn't get to stay longer. This home and its grounds really were magical. As you drive up through the gates, and around the beautifully landscaped property you have a feeling of being on an elegant country estate in the English Countryside. Everything about the proiperty is top notch, every attention to detail has been considered ion the interior and exterior design of this pristine property. The bedrooms and bathrooms are elegantly appointed, like a Four Seasons hotel. The kitchen is a beautifully remodelled Viking litchen with beautiful marble. French doors line the living room and open onto the beautiful courtyard and fountain area which again, in grand way feel like an English estate gardens. If you are traveling with a large familiy and/or guests the home is large enough and well laid out so everyone feels like they have private space. The location is second to none, you can be in town in 5 minutes, drive, walk, ride a bicycle. Great retaurants and the beach are close by, so in Santa Barbara downtown. I will be back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway.
