Went to South Dakota for a very memorable pheasant hunting trip. Previous years we stayed at "cabins", "hunting shacks", etc. This spacious "cabin" proved to be more like a luxury home. Dual kitchens, bathrooms & fridges were something we have not experienced before. Hope to be back next year !Recommended for: Girls getaway, pet owners, people with disabilities, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Our hunting group came to SD for a week of pheasant and duck hunting. The owner was great and we communicated every couple of days leading up to our stay about the weather, and hunting ! I am sure this place is great in the summer as well. The lake house was convenient for our hunting party to go out each day. We got up each morning and enjoyed the views of the lake before heading out. Each evening we enjoyed bing able to cook for our group in the big kitchen, then kick back in front of the big screen. We had seven hunters in our group, and I am sure this place could sleep more. The Wakeside Bar and Grill on Mina Lake was an unexpected highlight. Right down the street. We ate here the last night, and should have gone sooner. Food and service were great. We plan to make this an annual event as we return to hunt, play, and stay on Mina Lake !Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers.

Year Purchased: 1968
About the owner: This property was built By the Hoffman family which which were and still are friends of the family. the original cabin was found in a featured Better Homes and Gardens magazine and that's why it ws built. My parents purchased the property and built a very large addition and the property has landed in my possession. this was my childhood summer home, i have many fond memories of this place, i live in the Twin Cities now and i try to make it home as much as i can...i felt that turning into a VRBO property i could share it with others and still have the ability to use it myself when i could.

This was my childhood summer home i enjoyed many days fishing, hunting and waterskiing here my parents worked very hard to make this place very special and blessed me with its safe keeping.

the lake home is very close to many activities i Love to do fishing, hunting, golfing and seeing old friends...it is very close to town but far enough away to be a hideaway very quiet and peaceful...its easy to just enjoy the views of the lake and daydream an afternoon away. this property is perfect for family reunions and or summer or winter gatherings as well.
