A 2000 sq. foot 2 bedroom 2.5 bath custom built home located on 3 private acres. Beautiful spruce trees and wildflowers surround the property.
Heather View Vacation Rental is great for couples , families and friends.
The master bedroom has a queen size bed,walk in closet, a sitting area with a lovely view and an attatched deck.
The main bathroom has a walk in shower and jacuzzi tub for two. The second bedroom has a queen size bed.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all the amenities needed to make your stay perfect including all cooking utensils microwave, coffee maker and breakfast bar.
There is a comfortable living room with leather furniture and a separate dining room. The lower level has a futon and entertainment center with a large sitting area and 50' flatscreen t.v. with cable. The entire house is equipped with WIFI. Outside there is a large wrap around deck with BBQ grill and large landscape lawn with picnic area and firepit.

Wow! This home was one of our best "finds" in Alaska! The owner was prompt and helpful in her replys and booking this home was very easy. We were completely impressed with everything about this property from the minute we arrived. The directions were great, the yard was clearly well cared for, the home was immaculate and inviting, and we thought the welcome note and fresh cut flowers were especially thoughtful. The owner and her family are world travelers of a sort and we were delighted to see many of their collected treasures throughout the home. The kitchen was the best stocked of any vacation home we have stayed in and we appreciated how comfortable and roomy the rest of the house was for the four of us. However, the views from this home are absolutely incredible! The decks are great to sit and relax and enjoy the views. Really quite unbelievable! We also saw many eagles, sandhill cranes, and moose nearby. Everything about this home is even better than the pictures. It was so hard to leave and we kept taking "one last look" around. We really enjoyed our time in Homer visiting the Spit, walking Bishop's Beach, driving on Skyline Drive, and eating fish and chips. We would love to return here someday and would definitely recommend this property to our friends!Recommended for: Families with young children, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Although my brother an I were only able to stay in Homer for 2 days this year we enjoyed your home very much. In past years we have been able to stay for longer periods of time in Homer, usually with other family and friends. I highly recommend your rental property to anyone who wants a beautiful scenic place to relax and unwind!!!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Spent one week here the end of May 2013. The home is lovely inside and out. Three levels, top is two bedrooms and full bath, master bedroom has a deck. Middle level has kitchen, living room, dining room, half bath, wrap around deck with fabulous view, lowest level is basement, with shower/bath, washer/dryer. Large basement with nice leather sofa and a single bed, door to the back yard plus two windows. Fully functional home with very nice amenities. A short drive into Homer or elsewhere, lovely views all around. I would definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

Our stay at Heather View was everything we hoped for. The views are amazing: mountains, volcanoes, bay, inlet--spectacular views from every room. The deck and balcony offer the same views from the open air. The house is very comfortable and well equiped. The kitchen made us feel at home instead of like visitors. Many possibilities to mingle or find personal space. We felt we had a perfect balance of being away from the touristy/commercial feel of the spit, but close enough to be a part of the warmth and convenience of Homer. We could have fun on the water and then return to the secluded feeling of our rental on Diamond Ridge. We would gladly return again.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

About the owner: My name is Maggie Burns and I own Heather View Vacation Rental along with my husband John.We have lived in Homer for 30 years. I am recently retired as the executive chef at Lands End Resort for the past 10 years. My husband works on a research vessel M.V. Tiglax for U.S. Fish and Wildlife. We travel 2-4 months in the winter months and have been to over 20 countries.
