Escape the rat-race to Quickly's Retreat - a fully-furnished 1920s stucco foursquare with all the modern amenities. The four bedrooms plus 3rd floor tv lounge accommodate 9 guests. Enjoy our small-town peace and quiet, fabulous restaurants, live theater, shopping, galleries, museums, nearby wineries and breweries, and quick access to the Blue Ridge Parkway! Or stay home with good books, games, movies, Apple TV, and high-speed wifi internet. Our house has been and will continue to be disinfected between guests to keep all of our guests healthy.

Wonderful stay at Quickly,s Retreat!

6 of us stayed at the house for a local Artists workshop, and we had a fabulous time. The house is lovely, it had more than enough room for all of us, and the communication during the booking process was excellent. The house is in a very nice neighborhood and an easy drive or about a 15-20 minute walk to the main attractions in Staunton. Thank you for a great experience and wonderful hosting. We would definitely go again. Thank you for a great experience.

Short vacation

The house was a short walk to downtown, which was very convenient. We found plenty of outdoors activities: Humpback Rocks, Sherando Lake, Crabtrees Falls and canoeing with Massanutten Adventures.

Train

This property was very clean and comfortable. Location and neighborhood was excellent. The kitchen was well equipped and the large dining room accommodated our entire family. We were in Staunton for a family weekend and to ride the Virginia Scenic Railroad Blue Ridge Flyer on Father's Day. The train ride was awesome! I would highly recommend Quickly's Retreat we had no problems, it was great. We would definitely stay again.

Why they chose this property

We first visited Staunton, VA, over 20 years ago on a family vacation, and what we discovered is possibly the best kept secret in Virginia. Staunton is a beautiful town nestled in the Shenandoah Valley that has preserved its beautiful architecture and maintained its history, but kept an eye trained on the future. Years ago, the city decided to resist the pressures of “urban renewal” and save its old buildings instead of razing them. Now Staunton boasts one of America’s Greatest Main Streets, according to Travel and Leisure Magazine. And thanks to the amazing music, theatre, and arts culture in Staunton, it was recently named one of the 20 best small towns in America by Smithsonian Magazine. So when we started looking for the perfect home away from home, we were thrilled to find this beautiful property in our favorite small town.
