Perfectly situated on Vaca Cut, the boater/fisherman is literally seconds from the Gulf of Mexico or Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy watching the natural "aquarium" while sitting on the dock; parrot fish, angelfish, barracuda, snapper, and many, many tropicals all while the prevailing breezes rustle the palms!

This is perfect for two families or larger family get togethers. Rent half or whole duplex! One half of the duplex will sleep 5 maximum. Both halves are identical. Maximum people for both sides rented is 10. Brand-new, tropical linens and colors make this a most comfortable home-away-from-home. Great landscaping with hammocks and picnic tables for outdoor entertaining. Fish from the dock and grill it in your backyard. Now, with free Wi-Fi you can sit on the dock and surf the web!

Why the Owner Chose Marathon

Vaca Cut is like a huge aquarium. We have seen all kinds of fish, birds, turtles and sharks. Even this summer, a whale shark took up residence in the Cut. The local paper did a story about it and animal activists worked to free it of fishing line. Not sure if it is still hanging around or not. The best part of Vaca Cut is the access to both the Gulf and the Ocean. Can't beat this location.

The Unique Benefits at this House

Little Venice began in Marathon as the little fishing village and it still is today. You won't find any "McMansions" staring down at you. This is the fisherman's neighborhood and you are just around the block from The Marathon Lady fishing boat the Fish Tales restaurant, our favorite.

Owner's Map of Marathon

We are David and Sally Manz. We have lived in the Keys since 1988 and have three daughters. Having this rental property has been exciting and exhausting. We enjoy furnishing it nicely and keeping it as a place for our extended family and friends to stay when they visit. We lived here briefly after Hurricane Wilma flooded our home. We crammed all five of us in one side but it was some of the best times we have spent. We hope you and your family will have many happy memories in our little duplex as well.

Hi my family used to own this property and I have the fondest memories. This is a great place to make memories. Their is a marenia around the corner were you can walk to get bait.

I have been 5 years in a row shooting for 5 more.theres not a better local in the keys look left ocean look right ocean look down fish.tarpon snapper lobster what a place!!!!love it c u soon
