- Long Beach is huge on community events. They've got regular Art Walks, Farmers' Markets, Craft Fairs and seasonal activities like outdoor concerts and movies in the summer. If you're visiting during the holidays, be sure to check out the lights in Naples, where homeowners go all-out to decorate their beach homes and boats. If you're looking for a casual place to hang out and have a drink, listen to live music or shoot some pool, there are a plethora of options in Long Beach. In our neighborhood alone, you could easily walk to 5 or 6 bars. The crowd varies from bar to bar and what time you go, but in our area the scene is pretty laid-back and the drinks are strong and cheap. If you prefer a more trendy experience, you'll want to visit Belmont Shore or downtown LB. There you'll find really nice restaurants and a few nightclubs that serve a wide variety of specialty drinks and exotic food. ...moreless

Lovely Long Beach Condo for Couples
Lovely Long Beach Condo for Couples
My husband's job had us in Long Beach for about 6 weeks and this condo was a great alternative to a hotel!!! We loved having a fully functioning kitchen, charcoal grill, and comfortable space for relaxing. The decor is adorable and the owner was very easy to work with. We ALWAYS had quick replies and many suggestions of places to visit. They even offered to take us site-seeing over one weekend! The condo is within walking distance to some great restaurants, parks, and the beach. We frequented At Last Cafe and really enjoyed the patio seating! There's a shopping strip close and a Farmer's Market as well. Although decorated well, the condo wasn't the most baby-friendly. We have a 2 year old and an infant that would have loved the glass vases and knick-knacks. The concrete floors have been painted and are peeling in spots posing a paintchip snack for our bottom-feeder infant. There also isn't air conditioning in the condo which is ok because the cross breeze cools it right down, but it can be a little noisy during nap time as the condo overlooks an alley. If we didn't have the kids this place would have been perfect, and although we were able to make it work I wouldn't recommend it for young children.

Elegance meets Zen!!
Elegance meets Zen!!
I can't say enough about this beautifully decorated condo and the wonderful owners. My fiancé and I stayed at this property for 2 months at the beginning of the year and were truly sad to leave. It is beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you could possibly need. J really has an eye for detail and aesthetics. Due to the nature of our work, my fiancé and I travel quite a bit. This is by far the best property we've stayed in. The fully equipped kitchen was a dream to cook in, the washer/dryer was a huge timesaver and boy did we LOVE the huge, comfortable California King bed. J was so welcoming and even spent the time to acquaint us to the Long Beach and LA area. I really felt like I had made a friend during our brief stay. Last but not least, the owners truly are pet lovers! Our 4-legged child Beggs loved it there...they even have a little pet house for your pet. Look no further, you've found your Long Beach haven. We will definitely be looking to stay here anytime we are in the Long Beach area.

PERFECT CONTEMPORARY BEACH CONDO
PERFECT CONTEMPORARY BEACH CONDO
When I walked through the door of this "Zen Condo" I knew instantly that I would enjoy my stay. The layout, design and thought of your needs is present in every room. I found myself utilizing all the space. I invited some friends over and they fell in love with the place! The design is perfect for a womans taste. It is like a home away from home with a contemporary beach theme. I could go on and on about this place but I will sum it up like this....it has everything you can think of style, kitchen equipped to cook a great meal, a dining room to entertain guest with cocktail glassware cabinet, a living room to cuddle up next to the fireplace and read a book, a bedroom that is zen and beautiful, and the bathroom has you thinking should I take a rainfall shower or a relaxing bubble bath. Use the candles provided, the Netflix, the washer/dryer/dishwasher, and the elliptical. It small but the space is planned out perfectly and its bigger than most hotel rooms and has a lot more to offer. Downtown Long Beach is minutes away I enjoyed some restuarants on Pine Street, 2nd Street and 4th Street ask the locals they will tell you where to go. I will stay here again and give this condo my approval.

A Wonderfully Fun Hideaway
A Wonderfully Fun Hideaway
I go to a lot of conferences and often stay at the hotel. This time, I opted to stay at this lovely home and I'm so glad I did! Let me break it down: VIBE: Peaceful. It's very quiet, which recharged my battery. Secondly, the decor is uplifting and light feeling. The way the sunlight filled the rooms was so nice. I wouldn't normally think this matters but I found myself feeling so serene in this space. Coming from a raging workaholic, that's saying something! Also, and funny enough, the kitchen and living area is set up so that I could easily have a fun gathering of colleagues away from the hustle and bustle. And the BEST supermarket ever is a block away. LOCATION: This place is close to downtown long beach so I could zip down by hopping on a single bus or drive. The parking garage was super easy and felt safe. And as I said, a great market is steps away. The area seems a little rough at first, but then I noticed it’s actually an active family neighborhood. Oh, and a yummy burrito place & fun dive bar is just down the street, too. AMENITIES: Ha, I was really into their Netflix big screen hookup. Their washer & dryer setup was so easy. Oh, and I totally took advantage of the building’s hot tub just down the walkway. I'm sure there's more but I can't remember all the specifics. So, if you’re coming to the area, I seriously recommend this home away from home. I wish I could stay there again!

About the owner: Hi, I'm J! My husband and I were born and raised in southern California. After years of renting apartments all over Los Angeles, we finally took the plunge into home ownership by purchasing our condo in Long Beach. We're both pretty handy DIY-ers so we rolled up our sleeves and remodeled the whole place ourselves (well, we did get help from a handyman!). Here's what we did: re-textured all the walls, tiled the kitchen and bathroom, bought a new deep soaking bathtub and energy efficient toilet, installed new sinks and counter-tops, replaced all major appliances, replaced the old carpet by refinishing the existing industrial concrete sub-floor, and of course we painted everything. We even had a little energy left over to build the 2 custom storage ottomans that are there to this day! My husband is in the military and recently got reassigned to a duty station out of town so we had to move. We just couldn't bring ourselves to let go of our lovely little first home so we decided to convert it into a rental instead. We hope you love it as much as we do!
Why the Owner Chose Long Beach:
Being a young couple, we were instantly drawn to LB's nightlife, diversity, urban culture, and of course the proximity to the ocean. I love that you don't have to leave the city to have a great time; everything you need is right here, but if you do need to venture out you're only a 30-60 minute drive to all the worthwhile places to go in LA and OC.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
When it comes to house-hunting we 'kissed a lot of frogs' before we found our 'prince'. The biggest challenge was finding a unit that came with parking, let alone all the other must-have features on my list: double sinks, laundry in-unit, fireplace, balcony, walk-in closet, and gated community. This condo has it all, and with its walking-distance proximity to the market, pubs, restaurants, and ocean, we just had to have it.
