First I want to say. With the many Scammers out there? I do not advertise on Craigslist. Welcome to Petronia Palms! And the 'New Coconut Palm Cottage '! The sooner you book, the better the Deal! The safest location in Key West!
I just purchased this Individual Home and gave it a Complete makeover. I can still book you for the Winter of 2013.

This is a monthly rental! Just wanted to give a heads up, that I don't use the calendar on this booking site, as I have multiple VRBO vacation rentals that may be available to you, too.
Petronia Palms Is located just one block from the famous “Duval Street”! Which dumps out right at the ' World Famous 801 Bourbon Bar'. This lovely stand-alone 1,200 sq. ft. 2 private bedroom and two private bathroom “Home” (cottage) is located on Petronia Street Rear and just over 150 feet off the road by itself in its own enchanting little peaceful setting, right next to my compound of 4 beautiful/cute cottages. The compound has a security coded entrance too. You are within walking distance to most of what Key West has to offer. Although close to Duval, this nice sized is a quiet escape, since it is set back in its own little world of peace. You can kick back, just outside your private yard with a private Hot-Tub and hammocks. Or just relax next door on the decking surrounding the pool under the sun in day and the stars at night. Or, walk along all the meandering brick pathways. A large Gas BBQ has been provided, so that you can prepare your favorite meats and foods. Even Hammocks provided for each cottage and this home, too. We can even provide any special requests, such as running an errand for Wine, flowers, etc.; some may require a small fee to do so.
This single story Home will sleep 6 very comfortably and has a large living room, 2 (Two) large private/separate bedrooms with Queen sized beds, a queen sofa sleeper with memory form mattress in the living area, nice sized updated kitchen, and a dining area and 2 (Two) full baths, the rest of the home is covered with brand new wood flooring, there’s a washer and dryer in its own private secured room. You can cool down, (or warm up in the winter) with a dip in the pool or enjoy the new Central Air conditioning, within the home!
It Is Very Private And Quiet Location! Puts You In A Place Of Peacefullness!
I have provided free DSL internet & wireless (Wi-Fi), phone with FREE long distance use, and cable TV. I also provide the use of a dozen Brand New Bikes with locks, lights, baskets! And use of a safe at no additional costs. Its located in the heart of old town, this cottage is the perfect spot to enjoy the sights and sounds of historic Key West. Enjoy the excitement of the tropical evening, night life, just a minute’s walk over to Duval Street. Not far from where Hemmingway hung out at “Sloppy Joe’s”. AND, everyone has their own PRIVATE parking place, right in front the compound. Yes, everybody has a place to park! Unheard of in “Old Town” Key West...
I have decorated the Petronia Palms cottages and this largest home with carefully chosen colors, furnishings and fabrics, to remind you that you truly are in a tropical oasis, but with the Key West flare! The traditional Caribbean blues, yellows, greens and cottage style furnishings, make you feel as though you are in paradise, as you grab your favorite book and mix your favorite frozen beverage, in the fully equipped kitchen. Centrally located, you can bike or walk to the beaches or visit the special boutiques and restaurants up and down Duval Street!

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for 7 days 12/22/2012 - 12/29/2012. We had in mind a clean property with hot tub and laundry facility on site plus close to Duval Street. The owner of property was very nice to talk to and the property manager Christina was awesome... the place is very well cared and maintained....We ended up finding majority of our vacation to be spent relaxing at this inviting and comfortable home... the Bikes were provided to us for traveling to every where we needed to except grocery shopping.... We were just one block away from Duval Street... All the activities, sight seeings are just one bike away... We found we can swim in our own pool and get massaged in the Jacuzzi after the activities/outings we had.... The rooms are great, two private spaces each with their own bathroom.... there is WIFI to use.... so we can check the locations, addresses to visit... the home has full equipped kitchen where you can do all the cooking ... also it has gas grill right on the deck where we enjoy having our breakfast, dinner, coffee, nice weather... There is also laundry if I need to use it... We really appreciate the great time, wonderful accommodations, convenience to places this place provided for us.... Also, the price which owner gave us is great... I highly recommend this place for family, elders, children, ... etc.Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, romantic getaway, pet owners, tourists without a car, families with young children, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Thank Goodness all has been successful. In the short time I have had this new purchase, I have spent lots of money and time to detail this property, so folks would be very comfortable during they're stays. As, like all my other properties in Key West, we / I continually work on them, and add additional improvements, so that everyone that comes enjoys themselves. We stayed in this home for 4 nights just after Thanksgiving - in fact, we were the first to stay in here. It is absolutely beautiful, with so many lovely touches that makes it feel very homely yet stylish. It is tucked away on it's own little street, which is very private and had plenty of parking. It is right next door to Petronia Palms, which has the swimming pool. We stayed with 2 adults and 2 children, who were under 10. There was plenty of room and nothing we could have wanted. I like to cook for the family and there was a lovely stocked kitchen which was a real bonus for us. The location is 2 minutes walk from Duval Street, just down the road from the most southerly point and close to all the night life you might need. Next time we will come without kids......! Communication with Ted was superb, he answered all our questions quickly and the house manager was lovely, she really couldn't do enough. I would most definately recommend this place to singles, couples and families - in fact, I've told everyone I know about it. We will be back if we are ever in Key West again. About the owner: This is a picture taken of my girlfriend and I on a long 350 mile ride up and back down the entire Keys for the day. What an awesome ride. Fortunately she loves the tropics as much as I do. So traveling to Key West or Hawaii, where I have many different vacation rentals, which I own, doesn't require me to twist her arm to go
Why the Owner Chose Private Homes, Old Town:
Back in July of 2008 my girlfriend and I went back to Key West, because the previous stay was all work, converting one of my condos in the Meadows in Key West. While we were there, the last day I was told about a compound one block off Duval Street on Petronia Street, that was not directly listed for sale, but was just awesome. So I asked my girlfriend to go, and said no way, because if I liked it, I would start crunching numbers to figure out how to buy it. I went alone and met with now the previous owner. Of course, I then went back and got my girlfriend to come back to check this piece of paradise out. Most folks that have lived in Key West, don't even have a clue that this compound is back there, off its own little un-paved street. The compound is so quiet and peaceful and totally tropical with all the Key West colors too. The Big pool was in great shape as the entire compound. So, for those next few months, lots of Negotiations and finally on October 1st 2008, I became the new owner.I gave it the new name Petronia Palms and everything has been decorated to fit in with the Key West flare! Each cottage has its own personality and have been decorated to the max. I even have one with tons of Hemingway artifacts too. My neighbor moved on and I just purchased that individual home, too. My Property manager is very personable and can cater to literally any and every need.
