This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is ideal for Winter Guests and available to rent January thru May. It is also available over Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year and Easter Holidays. As well as several weeks through the Summer. It is a ground level home in the 'Little Venice' area of Marathon, a perfect retreat for one or two couples. The home is in a quiet neighborhood off US1 and has the charm and 'old keys' style that is becoming hard to find. It is beautifully maintained and comfortable. Also steps from our Conch Cottage is a canal side bench to sit and enjoy the view.
The home is fully furnished and tastefully decorated... just unpack your suitcase and enjoy the easy living in the 'Heart of the Florida Keys'. This Conch Cottage has a backyard gazebo which offers a tropical shady spot to relax, read a book or entertain. There is also a private patio off the kitchen for Al Fresco dining complete with a gas grill. This cottage includes a nicely fenced yard which provides lots of privacy.
The interior has tile floors for easy care with carpet in the bedrooms. The Master bedroom has its own on suite with shower. Steps from the Guest bedroom and convenient to the living area is a second bath with shower. Both bedrooms have Queen beds, hanging closets and additional dressers for all your clothing. The house has wall unit air conditioning, a stack able washer and dryer and Comcast cable and (wi-fi) high-speed internet service.
The Florida Keys is a great destination with so much to do. Key West is only an hour away and Islamorada is a 45 minute drive. Fishing, biking, kayaking, boating, running, walking on the old 7 mile bridge, sunset watching, snorkeling, diving and plenty of socializing too!

The Conch Cottage is nearly perfect for one or two couples. The accommodations are thoughtfully arranged, clean, new and comfortable. The owners provide everything but food. It's thoughtfully arranged and we were amazed at how clean everything was. For example, the grill was used but looked like new. The cottage is small but doesn't feel crowded. The owners live next door and care for it like their home. Having them next door is an asset if you need something but otherwise we never felt their presence. The outside patio has nice furnishings with privacy and protection from the windy keys. The only downside is the property is small like many Marathon properties but the Conch Cottage makes the small space very appealing.Recommended for: Age 55+, romantic getaway.

I thought the property was lovely. It was extremely commodious and superbly set up. Linens were top flight, the beddings were first class and the kitchen and amenities were fine. I had absolutely no problems during my 62 day stay at the Cottage. It was comfortable and I enjoyed the patio dining and late afternoon cocktails.Recommended for: Age 55+.

I have nothing but good things to say about my stay at Conch Cottage during the last Christmas holidays. The listing was accurately described as were the photographs of the property.I had a small issue with the toilet seat and it was instantaneously resolved after a call to the owners. Marathon is a great place if you want a quiet vacation and a great place to kiteboard. Especially for beginners. Also, I enjoyed visiting the Dolphin Research Center thanks to a free entrance ticket courtesy of Cora and Drew.Recommended for: Pet owners.

We stayed at the Conch Cottage for a week over New Year's. It far exceed our expectations! It was very clean and well organized. All the information listed was totally accurate but it was so much more. Lovingly cared for and tastefully decorated, it has it all. They have anticipated anything you could need in the cottage. I have stayed at many of the homes listed on this sight at other locations, but this cottage is far better than any other homes we've rented. In other homes, I would need something like a corkscrew, and forgot to bring from home. Conch Cottage has it along with hand painted wine glasses so you feel very elegant! It is just a good place to go when you want to vacation! Marathon is a good location with an hour to Key West for the day. We really enjoyed ourselves. The cottage is close to everything in Marathon. Just steps to the party boat! And the fish we caught were taken to the restaurant across the parking lot and cooked for our lunch. All two blocks away. The owners, Cora and Drew, are friendly and truly a delight to meet. They were very responsive to any request as well as answered all our questions. Our dogs loved them too, and they are very picky and good judges of character. (Just a little humor!) The Conch Cottage gets 6 STARS out of 5 in my book (and I have very high standards)!! Superlative in all respects.We want to come again and I would encourage anyone to stay there. They will enjoy the experience.Recommended for: Age 55+, girls getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, romantic getaway.

About the owner: The Owners of this property, Cora & Drew, met in the Florida Keys 12 years ago and can't imagine living any other place but Marathon. Cora was born and raised in Ogden, Utah and Drew is originally from City Island, New York. Both love everything that this little piece of paradise offers from boating, fishing, lobstering, diving and so much more. Drew is the owner/operator of a marine canvas business and Cora assists as his Office Manager. Cora also is an Aquacise Instructor at the Cabana Club in Key Colony Beach and a ZUMBA Instructor for Marathon Zumba Fitness. Both are very involved in the Marathon community.
Why the Owner Chose Marathon:
Marathon at Mile Marker 53 is in the Heart of the Florida Keys. World class sport fishing, lobstering, beautiful beaches, boating with easy access to both the gulf and the ocean. Key West is just over 50 miles South and Miami just over two hours North.
