Nineteenth century elegance and charm that includes:
- original patterned oak floors with many beautiful oriental carpets
- French windows with three balconies overlooking an extraordinary vista of the city; the sunsets are worthy of an Impressionist painting.
-The apartment is on the sixth floor (elevator to fifth and then one easy flight up).
-There is a cozy living area perfect for entertaining, with a large dining room table, sofa, chairs, and an office/desk alcove, plus a separate fully equipped kitchen area. The bathroom has a step in shower but no tub. The bedroom sleeps two - and the living room has a comfortable sofa-bed that opens into a queen bed (if the guests are not interested in sharing the same bed, quite unusual in France...:}
The apartment is located in the Marais, the wonderful, historic 3rd arrondissment, just blocks from the Pompidou Center and easy walks to Notre Dame, Picasso museum, Carnavalet museum and the Louvre. We are also very close to two different metro (subway) lines. The nearest stops are Hotel de Ville and Rambuteau, making negotiating Paris very, very simple.
And, we offer full concierge service! Your personal concierge handles your housekeeping, meet-and-greet service, and available during your entire stay should you need anything, including translations, reservations, tours etc. For an additional fee, they can also arrange for a private chaffeur to pick you up at the airport. (90e/2 guests/each way).
So, why do i love this apartment?
The location: it is literally perched up above Paris. You will have no doubt you are in the city of light as the sun sets over the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coeur church. Three small balconies open onto an unparalleled vista of this city that will take your breath away.
It is very comfortable, and immaculately maintained.
It is perfect for two guests - romantic and ideally located.
It is perfectly situated to enjoy Paris and a real Parisian neighborhood.
Ps a new central air-conditioning is being installed now, ready for your use as of April 2013.

This apartment, beautifully located in the Marais, is the perfect place to stay for anyone wanting to experience Paris at its best. It has all the advantages of having your own Paris apartment, without any of the responsibilities. Decorated with exquisite taste, the apartment is beautifully fitted out and wonderfully comfortable. It offers all the amenities we need during our visits, and has amazing views across the rooftops of Paris past the Pompidou Centre to the Eiffel Tower in one direction, and Sacre Coeur in the other. The lights of Paris in the evening are just spectacular. We particularly like staying in a beautiful apartment in a convenient and central area of Paris which remains heavily occupied by Parisians, rather than just tourists. The location is both convenient and interesting, offering so much to see and do within easy walking distance - Notre Dame, I'le de St Louis, Place des Voges, the Marais' galleries, restaurants and clothing shops, etc, and just around the corner, superb little food shops offering the best baguettes, exquisite patisseries, charcuteries, and a little supermarket - ideal when we feel like staying in for a meal after an exhausting day of exploring. At times like these, we have really appreciated the in house shelves of very readable novels and good DVDs. The impressive collection of Parisian guide books is also very useful, as is the information folder for visitors that not only contains all the basic "need to know" information, but is full of local hidden secrets that have been tried and tested by the owners and now many of their guests - favourite restaurants, patisseries, places to shop, sights to see and things to do. The many excellent recommendations continue to remind us that there is always much of Paris still to discover on our next visit. This delightful apartment has become our Paris home away from home. We had the pleasure of staying at the apartment HUGO. We found upon our arrival a number of folders of information as to the transport system and suggestions re galleries, museums and restaurants to visits. An excellent start to our stay in Paris. The apartment is located near Rue Beaubourg and close to the Metro. The large selection of gourmet shops nearby is challenging! We were within easy walking distance of the beautiful Place des Vosges and the Ile St Loius. Exploring the Marais was a delight. At night it was wonderful to retreat to the apartment with its views over the rooftops. The view stretched from Sacre Coeur to the Eiffel Tower. A particular delight was seeing the myriad of twinkling lights on the Eiffel Tower. Although the apartment had an excellent kitchen we found it difficult to resist the attraction of the restaurants. I particularly enjoyed the artwork in the apartment. The decoration of the apartment was to my taste and it felt like home for five days.Recommended for: Romantic getaway.

MAY 2012 VISIT TO TEMPLE
MAY 2012 VISIT TO TEMPLE

Our first visit to TEMPLE in 2007 was also our first stay in Paris. The ‘Temple Experience’ was the perfect introduction to Paris. Superbly and elegantly furnished, one immediately feels welcome and at home ….and spoilt. The first view from the balcony across the roof tops of Paris capture Sacre Coeur, The Eiffel Tower and the Pompidou; nothing short of breathtaking. The library of books, music and film add to the feeling that there is nothing the owners have not thought of or through. The definition of relaxation (and indulgence) is an afternoon snooze with a book with the option to take in a movie if desired in that snug bedroom. It was SO good to be able to unpack after our travels and having a wardrobe each was excellent. We loved the study and to have access to the internet ‘in house’ is such a bonus. The absolutely AMAZING journal of tours, places to visit eat and shop, things to do, museums, gardens and galleries - current and obviously regularly updated, is like nothing we had ever seen and was so helpful to first timers. It was also good to know the almanac was there when planning our return visit. (Les Philosophes is our new ‘Club’ by the way!) Between visits there have been improvements to the kitchen; we loved it before but the dishwasher and reconfiguration of sink and refrigerator made sense. We ate in quite a bit after long days beating the pavement and it was great to use such a well equipped kitchen. We are busily planning our next trip for May next year (2013) and would not consider staying anywhere else, for us Paris = Temple.Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, girls getaway, tourists without a car.
