Our family loved our time staying here. The owners were amazing to work with and their Condo is beautiful. The resort is top of the line! The resort and condo is set up perfect for families with children of all ages or adults only. We cant wait to go back!Recommended for: People with disabilities, families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, tourists without a car.

Nice, upscale 2 bedroom condo in relatively new Waupouli Beach Resort. Property is well manicured, nice pool (but not heated) and three popular hot tubs. Beach right out front, but not suitable for snorkeling or swimming. Conveniently located across from Safeway and other retail, about 8 miles N of Lihei Airport. Great week there during early February. New VRBO owners of unit are accommodating and provide some additional amenities like Boogie Boards and beach chairs. Resort itself is tightening its belt, has converted poolside bar to kitchen for restaurant, which is relatively expensive. No matter, many good restaurants within walk or short ride.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

This condo was the nicest I have ever stayed in! It had a huge kitchen stocked with every appliance you would need to cook breakfast, lunch, or dinner, a nice-sized living room, two bedrooms, and three bathrooms! After an adventurous day in Kauai, it was the perfect place to return to. Three balconies overlook the pool and a partial ocean view. The meandering pool was refreshing and the water slides were fun even for adults. I had never experienced a sand-bottom hot tub before (there are 3), but I would never want to go back! I utilized the barbecues on the property 3 times. Cooking outside in the nice weather by the pool really helped me feel the Hawaiian vibe. Because I workout almost every day, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the fitness center is bigger than most. It has free-weight dumbbells that I think went up to 75, a couple of treadmills, an Elliptical machine, cable machines, and standard machines. There is also a nice bike path just a block or two north of the condo that is also great for running! The owner was very generous and kind, and he was flexible when I had to add an additional day.Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, sightseeing.

We stayed for 7 nights in early December and found the condo to be great! The location in the complex was ideal and surprisingly quiet in the evenings. The location of the resort was perfect as well, you can easily walk to great restaurants and grocery stores. The onsite bar/restaurant was awesome ~ food was delicious and fresh. We ate at other places, but it helped to have a good place onsite as well. We also took advantage of the amazing kitchen to cook some meals. The owners were available with questions and we had a few! They are new to renting and have some kinks to work out but it was great and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend OR stay again! We also found the condo office to be helpful and you can use their computers/printers to print out boarding pass/tickets, etc... Would love to go back, soon!Recommended for: Families with young children, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, girls getaway, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

About the owner: Tony and Jeanne are regular Kauai visitors with a timeshare as well as our Waipouli property. We enjoy the serene beauty of Kauai and particularly the friendly Coconut Coast. We would like to share the Aloha-spirit that we experience here with you. We live in Santa Barbara, CA and are information technology and scientific professionals. Tony has a degree from the university of Hawaii.
Why the Owner Chose Waipouli:
When we first saw the Wailpouli Beach Resort on a Kauai visit, we were very impressed with its location, and fell in love with the quality of the facilities. When we had the opportunity to invest in the property, we did so because we knew it was a place we would love to vacation. In front of the resort is the very popular coastline bike and walking trail that runs for miles along the Coconut Coast. We have enjoyed observing humpback whales breaching and at play from this trail. We love to ride bikes and to hike. There are several bike rental shops close to the resort. Along the trail one can walk or bike to friendly Old Kapaa Town for restaurants and shopping.
